"Step in, one, two, three, aller!" Dylan ducked and weaved through Wayland and Kat's punches, dodging a roundhouse kick from Wayland and a left hook from Kat. Then sliding around Wayland, Dylan tapped Kat on the shoulder and her eyes grew round in shock as her right arm became paralysed. Ducking another kick from Wayland, he threw fyre at him, hitting Wayland in the chest. Then with him distracted, Dylan reached over and tapped Wayland's leg, making him collapse. Dylan turned around to face Sagittarius as he heard a whistle blow.

"Good Aries, you have finally learnt how to use your abilities to a basic extent. Next time try to use your misting while in action. Dismissed"

Well it's better than last week when I first came here Dylan thought, the first fight I fought here was not even three minutes long. But just one week to learn the basics about your abilities? They're crazy! And they expect me to be ready tonight!

He looked up as he heard a bark of laughter and he saw Kat on the balcony whispering something to Ava and Jayde who was shaking with muffles hysterics that did not reach her eyes. Couldn't she see that he wanted her? There was a one out of one hundred chance that she would ever love him back, but it was that slim chance that kept him fighting.

"Well congrats. They lasted five minutes before you beat them. Let's hope you are that good tonight." Dylan snapped out of his reverie to see Jayde standing before him.

"Oh, thanks." Dylan replied.

"We have to go at ten tonight, so be at the gates by nine forty-five. Libra will probably want to see you off. Don't bring anything except an emergency medical kit from Aqua and a snack bar if you have to. Got it?" Jayde said with a threatening tone in her voice.

"Yeah", Dylan confirmed but before he could ask any questions of his own she was gone in a trail of silver mist.

"I don't want to go, mommy!" I whined in a childish voice at Kat and Ava, "I want to stay here and not go out into the cold cruel world with Dylan!"

"Jayde, I am not the Elders. I can only ensure that you have a safe journey, nothing more." Ava told me.

"Well that sucks. How am I supposed to have a pleasant journey if I'm with Aries?"

"Stop whining, you'll probably come back home in an hour. You are the best Shadow." Denny said entering the common room.

"Fine, but I'll miss you guys." I said, trying to play with their sympathy.

"We'll miss you too, so you'd better come back." Kat sniffed.

"'Kay, see ya then." And I misted to the front gates where Dylan was waiting.

Dylan didn't see the silver mist that floated to his side in the darkness of the night, but he did see Jayde when she materialized next to him, looking completely hot in her uniform that fitted all her curves exactly. He looked down at his almost skin tight uniform which looked very abnormal on his body, and sighed inwardly.

"This is not a fashion show Dylan." Jayde reminded him. "We have an assignment to complete. Libra." Jayde and Dylan both bowed simultaneously as the Elder materialized before them.

"Thank you Scorpio, Aries." Libra said gracefully, "I would just like to say well done to you Aries, you have progressed very much this week. And to you Scorpio: thank you for being patient with Aries, and could you look after him please?"

"Yes Libra." Jayde murmured beside him.

"Cancer informed me that there are some disappearances that took place in the EmpireStateBuilding. All were young adults around your age, and children of powerful business men and women. All I ask is that you find out who's behind it; it shouldn't be too hard for your first mission Aries."

"Of course Libra."

"Good luck then." And Libra misted.

"You are good at misting right?" Jayde asked Dylan with a fake smile.

"I guess. Why?" Dylan wondered.

"You really think that the institute has money for airplane tickets? We're misting to New York!" Jayde snapped.

"Okay, just go a bit slower for me, because I'm not that good." Dylan warned.

"Oh I know that." And Jayde misted. Sighing, Dylan misted after her.
