The Vegas lights were shining, blinding me even through my darkly tinted sunglasses as I strutted down the famous Los Vegas Strip. I put a nonchalant smile and acted like a tourist. As far as anyone knew, I was normal. I was a visitor to the Sin City just here for fun like anyone else...except, I was here for work.

I slipped down a dark alley and turned around to face the tall, well built man who'd been following me since I left my hotel.

I smiled flirtatiously, "Hey, looking for a good time?"

"No, but my boss is." The guy replied darkly, his face hidden by shadows.

"And who's your boss, sweetheart?" I pursed my lips, tapping my foot impatiently.

"Samuel Ross." The name shook me to my core.

How did he find me?

Without thinking I pulled out my gun and aimed for his head. "Why did he send you?"

"Put down the gun, Sophie...or is it Starlie?" My heart was getting so fast it left a ringing, thumping noise in my ears,

"Why did he send you?" I repeated and he stepped forward. Bad move. I pressed down on the trigger, firing, but he ducked and it just grazed his arm.

"Shouldn't have down that." The guy said and ran at me, pining me to the wall. I kneed him in between the legs, head butted him and gave him a hard blow to the stomach. He was on the ground with me kicking his stomach when my phone rang.

I pulled out my phone and saw the caller ID. I chucked as I answered.

"Well ain't this a coincidence, I just had a little visit from one of your daddy's goons." I smiled to myself.

"Where are you?" Hector asked,

"Vegas, baby." I sang into the phone.

"Well get to New York, I need you for something. Well, actually my sister needs you for something." He stammered.

"Skylar Ross needs my help? Never thought I'd hear that." I mused, "When and where?"

"She needs you at the Stark Tower by tomorrow morning; 9 o'clock." Hector replied. "It's really important."

"Great. Tell her I'll be there and I want the money up front."

"Actually, it's already been wired to you." Hector admitted,

"By who?" I asked,

"By S.H.I.E.L.D." Hector said and hung up.
