I yawned as I heard the doorbell ring. I got up and ran my fingers through my hair to look somewhat presentable. I opened the door to reveal this lady who looked to be in her early 30’s. She had light brown hair cut into a bob, a pink blouse on with a pair of white Capri’s.
“Uh, hi?” I asked, looking at her.
“Hi. I’m here to pick up Alex…?” she said, trailing off at the end. I gasped.
“Oh my gosh. I’m so sorry. Um… do you want to come in while I get Alex?” She just nodded before she stepped in. “I’m Rosalind by the way,” I said, holding my hand out to her.
She nodded her hand as she shook my hand. “I’m Susie’s cousin, Amber.” I smiled at her name.
“You have a really pretty name,” I told her before I left to get Alex.
Half an hour later, I was waving by to Amber and Alex as they drove out of the driveway and down the street. I sighed before I sat on the front porch, too tired to move. I heard my phone buzz in my pocket.
I sighed before I pulled it out, looking at the text message I got from Colton
:Hey, Can you tell everyone to meet at Ala Moana in an hour or so?:
I sighed. Darn, lazy bum, I thought, as I texted back sure and sent a mass text message to everyone.
I sighed. I decided to get ready early and then head over to Aiden and Colton’s house. I got dressed in a pair of skinny jeans, converse, and my red shirt that read, “A ninja swiped my homework.”
I smirked at my final appearance before I headed over to next door. I stopped, then turned around and headed over to the other side of my house. I knocked on the door and waited for Dylan to open the door.
He opened the door, wearing only a pair of sweatbands and hair disheveled. I tsked at him. “Did you not get my text?”
H looked confused as he shook his head. I laughed before I dragged him into the house, closing the door behind me. “Go get ready. We’re going to Ala Moana and we need to get to the twins so we can have a ride before they go.”
He just nodded before he left me standing in his living room. I smiled before I plopped down on the sofa as I waited for him to come back. After 10 minutes, he came down ready to go. I smiled before I grabbed him and booked it out of there, barely stopping to let him lock the door behind him. I barged into the twins house, waved hi to their parents and charged up into their room.
I quickly had to get out of their room, a blush on my face as I realized that they were only in their boxers. “What the hell, Colton? You were the one who texted me to tell everyone to meet soon and you’re not even ready?” I heard the three guys in the room laugh. I just grumbled under my breath about “stupid boys” and their “stupid brain damage.”
We were finally in the car, ready to head down to Ala Moana. “So who’s coming today?” I heard Dylan ask from the backseat that he was sharing with Colton while Aiden drove, meaning I was in shotgun.
“I invited everyone, but I don’t know who’s going yet. They could either still be asleep, forgot to respond, or they’re not going to respond at all,” I said, looking at my phone. Whoops. It was off. I mentally slapped myself as I turned it on, surprised at the continuous buzzing that came from my phone from the number of text messages. I quickly scrolled through them.
“No, I lied. Um … everyone but Haley’s coming. She said she got stuck babysitting or something. Hey, that means I’m the only girl,” I pouted a bit as they just chuckled in amusement.
“C’mon, Rose. You know you’ll have fun with us guys,” Colton said, leaning forward in his seat. I just blew air in his face.
“Well, I’d rather spend a day with Ronnie Radke. But I’m not, so I guess I’ll settle with
Colton held a hand over his heart. “My gosh Aiden, she’s so mean to us.”
Dylan chuckled a bit. “Why do you always refer to Ronnie Radke?”
I shrugged. “Dunno. He’s just currently my favorite person that’s in a band at the moment. It’ll probably switch over to someone else soon though.
Even without looking at Colton, I could tell that he was shaking his head at my logic, seeing as that is what Aiden is doing right now.
