imagine: cas helps you after you end an abusive relationship

You were a complete mess after you told Micheal to, quote on quote, "Get the fuck out of my life."

He was abusive. It started out emotionally, but very suddenly crept into physical. You thought over all of the lies you'd told about your injuries.

Ah, it's just a cat scratch. My knife slipped while I was cooking dinner. Uhm... Hickeys—Sex, y'know. We played dodgeball and it hit my face. I fell wrong on my wrist.

You didn't tell lies to protect Micheal. You told them to protect yourself. Micheal always threatened that if you left or told anyone that he would hurt you more than he ever had.

You were in your bedroom, crying as another wave of fear hit you. He knew your weaknesses. You'd been dating from Freshman year all the way up through mid-Junior year.

You were still going to have to see him every day for another school year and a half. You were horrified.

You sat in your bedroom, crying into your pillow when you heard a flutter. You looked up and slightly screeched to see that your best friend, Jimmy, stood in the center of your room. "J-Jimmy?" You managed to ask.

He turned around, looking at you. "No, it's me— Oh, uhm. I suppose you think that I'm Mr. Novak, but it's not him right now."

You wiped your tears, looking up at his figure. "It's you again, isn't it?" You mumbled. "The angel who forcibly possesses my friend?"

Jimmy's vessel gently shook his head, and crossed his arms. "You know you  can use my name, right? I've told you, you can call me Castiel or Cas. Jimmy asked me to take his vessel to help you with your current situation with Micheal."

You shook your head. "Leave Jimmy alone, please. I'd rather talk to him."

Cas frowned, sitting by you on his bed. He gently fiddled his fingers. You did the same, gripping the edges of the pillowcase.

"The abuse..." He started.

You yelled out, "S-Shut up! M-Micheal didn't... Micheal... J-Just shut up. I'm fine. Stop p-pitying me."

The room got quiet and Cas turned to you. "You can't never talk about it."

"I can too. Watch me."

"There's trauma going on in your head. Fear. I can sense it."

"I don't care!"

The room got quiet again, and you brought the pillow to your chest. Castiel waited for you to speak, not wanting to force you to. You dug your face into the pillow.

It took you a while until you felt the slightest bit better by hugging the pillow. The angel's presence felt somewhat comforting.

You started up again, with little faith in your weak voice. "I... I do care."

"Jimmy wants to help you," Castiel explained, turning to you. "He sent me because he knew I could help."

"How?" You pleaded, blatantly. Cas grabbed your hand.

"Reducing pain. I can do it in all forms."

You hesitated, but let go of his hand. "Maybe later... I just want to be alone for now."

Castiel nodded, silently asking if he should leave. You nodded, letting him get up and approach the door.

As he shut the door behind him, you mumbled, "Tell Jimmy thank you."
