•°•°• Reader's Point of View •°•°•

"Look, Mommy!" Out of nowhere, a lone child appeared in the scene. She kinda looked like me when I was little.

   Wait a second!

I approached the small figure, who was oblivious of my presence. Perhaps, this is a memory when I was still a kid. I tried to touch the little me's body when my hand just passed right through her. Her body was like a liquid, where we cannot literally hold it.

She was smiling peacefully, having no idea what awaits her and her family in the future. It's not really her fault anyway, I mean she's too young to understand everything around her. Wow. I don't know if I'm being crazy or what? I mean, I'm actually scolding my little self.

•°•°• Beginning of Reader's Past Memories •°•°•

"What is it, dear?" Mother asked in her very mellow voice. Its one of the few things that made me safe and protected from any kinds of danger.

I was jumping continuously, my finger pointing at some random direction. I was referring to our old television. Revealed in its screen was my favorite kid show, Pokémon.

"It's starting, Mommy! Hurry!" My childish voice called out for my mom, who was busy rinsing the dishes. I took a seat on our couch whilst my tiny hand patting the space beside for mom to sit on. "I- I mean, we don't want to miss the opening song, right?" I mentioned with anticipation like it was the most important thing in the world.

Seeing her daughter excited about simple things like letting me watch my most awaited show, mom couldn't help but oblige to my request. "Of course, for my only source of happiness." She pinched the cheek on my left side, entertaining herself on how chubby it was.

"St-stop it!" I shook my head, trying to remove mother's soft fingers from squeezing my cheek. Once I was finally free from her grasp, I noticed something very familiar playing on our television. "The song began! Let's go!" I exclaimed, standing up from my seat and began following the rhythm.

Mother was smiling from ear to ear, her eyes not leaving my tiny figure as she watched me sing and dance.

"Pokémon! Gotta catch em' all! It's you and me, I know it's my destiny! Pokemon! Oh, you're my best friend, In a world we must defend! Pokémon. . . !" I can't help but enact my silly dance moves and voice out my high pitched tone. The chorus is very catchy so, it's very difficult to not sing along with it!
