Last Stand

Chapter 9

Iko's POV

I saw Melody with Ethan heading to the area where Nash was being treated, I couldn't leave the others here but, I can't lose anyone anymore, then I heard a gunshot while walking into this quiet corridor.

"Melody! Where's Ethan?" I asked, she was shivering in fear, then she took me to Ethan, he was bleeding out in the floor,

"Nathan! What did you do?!" I said as he tried to take Nash with him,

"Iko! You're also here? What a very unexpected reunion, now let us be, or else I'll do the same thing that happened to Ethan" Nathan replied then pulled out his gun,

"Put pressure on Ethan's wound, don't let too much  blood spill out" I said to Melody then she quickly applied pressure on his wound.

I raised my hands as Nathan is still pointing his gun at me, then I lunged at Nathan to apprehend him.

"Nathan, look at what you have done! Why would you do such a thing?!" I said with sadness, then punched him 4 times,

"I had to otherwise he would have stopped me" Nathan said then giggled as blood comes out from his nose and mouth,

"What are you planning?!" I said with anger,

"Why would I even tell you!" Nathan defended,

Then I twisted his arm so bad he started to spit out information.

"Is their anyone with you backing up your plan because it seems unlikely that this is a one man job!?" I asked furiously,

"Im with a man named Mister Kamensky" Nathan said while screaming because of what I was doing to him,

"Who and where is he?!" I asked,

"He is overlooking the attack on the base in a nearby building" Nathan replied,

"WHO IS HE" I angrily said,

"He is a former KGB agent in east germany working as a biochemical arms researcher but since the german reunification he retreated to the KGB HQ in Moscow and after the collapse of the soviet union he was dedicated to find a way to make the west fall and when he heard about the outbreak in palawan he flew here after the outbreak to investigate what happened after" Nathan explained,

"So your saying he is a maniac?!" I asked,

"Not to me" Nathan said then laughed,

"Guys a horde of zombies are coming this way" Cleford said as he entered the room,

"Get Nash up on his feet and give me some of that surgical tubing and tape" I said,

After tying him up they escaped the base to get in a truck but....

"Get down! It's that ranged zombie!" I said as we left the room, we were now in the corridor,

"His skin looks thicker than the other one we encountered" Marcus observed,

"It's so slow" Melody said,

"Great then we can use that to our advantage, on the count of 3 we run to that truck with a machine gun mounted on its roof" I said,

"It'll give us time, now come on, let's get the hell out of here!" Cleford said then tried to carry Nash with his shoulder, Melody is trying to stop the bleeding on Ethan's wound,

"There's the truck!" I said then we tried to run to get inside before it's too late,

"It's them!" Doctor Nick said then ordered the driver to stop,
