"We can be heroes just for one day."

Scott and I sit on the side of my bed, our legs dangling over the side while we talk about the events of the other day.

"He just kissed you?" Scott asks happily. I smile at the memory from only hours ago. I nod while my face begins to burn up.

"So, what does that make you guys?" He questions. My smile falters. I don't think right now is a good time to label whatever we are. We still have to talk about it together, but with everything going on right now, we might not have time.

"I'm not sure." I answer truthfully.

"Well, hopefully you guys get together soon. It's sort of agonizing watching you two like each other from a distance." He explains and I laugh while nudging his arm. Our laughing is interrupted by the ringing coming from Scott's phone.

"Speak of the devil." Scott mumbles while showing me the caller ID. Stiles. I make a sour face at the phrase. As soon as Scott answers the phone Stiles begins to ramble, giving us no time to at least say 'hi'.

"Get your asses down here now. We have a job to do." He says. Scott gives me a look telling me that he's up to something. I decide to play along.

"Dude, we're already in our beds. And aren't we getting a little old for this?" Scott asks while a smile forms on his face. I smirk before looking out the window. It's the night before Halloween, all of our neighbors have their decorations up, we only have pumpkins on our front porch. I plan on adding more later because, truthfully, Halloween is my favorite time of the year. I used to love going trick-or-treating. Once I turned fifteen I started giving out candy instead. It was a lot more fun because Scott, Stiles, and I would watch scary movies and make cookies. I miss those days.

"We do this for Coach." Stiles answers.

"I thought we did this to Coach." Scott corrects.

"Whatever, okay? You know he needs this. He lives for this stuff. He loves it." Stiles goes on. I hold back a laugh considering Stiles doesn't even know I'm listening in on the conversation.
