Chapter Six

It was about 2:30am and the club was still packed. Stacy was "white girl wasted " so that was our cue to head back home. Evan and I grabbed Stacy holding her up on each side. I had more drinks than Stacy but Stacy is the type of person who can't hold her liquor. We helped Stacy to the car and headed home.

"Damn Stacy, I thought I was the one who was suppose to get fucked up." Evan said to a drunk Stacy as he carried her to her room. I dropped the keys on the side table and followed behind.

"It's aight Evan, I got it from here."

He looked back at me after he dropped Stacy on the bed.

"You sure?"

"Yea, I'm sure."

"Shid, you aint got to tell me twice then."

He jerked his pants back up that were sliding down and headed to the door.

"Oh, and if you need me sexy, Im in the other room. Maybe we can finish what you started."

He puckered his lips and kissed in my direction. I shook my head and laughed as I closed the room door.

I looked at a passed out Stacy on the bed and couldn't help but smile.

I helped Stacy get into a silk gown as she ran back and forth to the bathroom throwing up. I was feeling the liqour but not as bad as she was. I put on a big tshirt I found in Stacy's dresser and layed next to her in the king sized bed.

I loved Stacy, she was always there for me and I couldn't thank her enough. I'd do anything for her because I know she'd do anything for me. I honestly envied Stacy at times. She was everything, from her small frame, her foreign face and lets not forget her hair, that shit is everything. I remember doing her hair when we were in college, yes we went to college together, you can't seperate us. I would tell her, girl I wish I had hair like you, she would just laugh. I admitted to Stacy that I was jealous of her features once. I was going through so much and was feeling unconfident. I'll never forget what Stacy said to me that very moment when my tears seemed to be endless. She stood in front of me and looked me in my eyes and said "Lauren, If you don't stop this shit, there is nothing wrong with the way you look or your size. Beauty is not defined by the size of your jeans. Listen to me baby girl, Ima tell you what my mother use to tell me, If someone tells you you're not beautiful turn around and walk away, so they can have a great view of your fabulous ass. and with an ass like yours Lauren, they'll have a great view she said. We laughed and I told her "your mother always have the best saying." she responded with, she also said meat is for men and bones are for dogs. she looked down at her frame, "Shid I need to eat then, If you don't want your curves Lauren I'll damn sure take em', especially that ass. she said. I'm lacking in that department. We laughed together.

The thought of that moment made me smile .. then I ran to the bathroom to puke.
