Ned Stark watched as Jon Snow and Elena Lannister rode together on his little hunting party. He smiled slightly at how they were both laughing and both enjoying themselves. Jon hadn't been enjoying his life so much and maybe this would help. Elena smiled and looked down before looking back up at the dark and handsome bastard.
"Wait, listen?" Jon whispers and Elena quietens and hears the little grunts of what sounds like puppies. Jon beckons his father over and they edge towards a commonly used road. Elena follows and gasps at the sight of a Dire Wolf and a deer lying mauled and mutilated.
"The pups?" Elena asks quietly and Theon shrugs. Brandon takes one and smiles.
"Can we keep them father? Can we keep them as pets?" He asks and Ned sighs. He shakes his head and Theon takes the pup from Brandon while unsheathing his dagger.
"Oh stop it!" Elena snaps. Everyone stares at her and she looks down.
"My apology's my Lord, I just meant to say the dire wolf is your house sigil and there are five pups, maybe one for each Stark child?" She answers and Jon feels his face fall. Everyone watches Neds face on the decision and he nods.
"You train them yourselves, you feed them yourselves, and when they die you bury them yourselves!" He states and Brandon nods smiling up at the Lannister lady who gave him a puppy. Jon leans down and picks up a pure white pup skinnier than the rest.
"That's the runt guess it's yours then Snow!" Theon laughs and Elena gently strokes Jon's shoulder.
"At least he has one, imagine living here all your life and still not even being considered a Stark!" She spits and everyone stares at her outburst. Theon storms off and Jon strokes his new pup.
"Also he's the most beautiful direwolf pup I've ever seen and I've seen five of them!" She adds and he laughs as she smiles and climbs back up the bank.

Tyrion was even more drunk by the time they arrived in Winterfell and Elena smiled as she walked over to him.
"Brother?" She asks and he smiles as she sits next to him. She was a Lannister through and through and he adored his baby sister.
"Sister," He answers and she smiles and sits watching the world go by.
"Secrets of the Starks?" She asks and he laughs and rolls his eyes.
"There are none my darling," He answers honestly and she sighs with a slight pout. She sits with Tyrion watching everyone and everything occurring.
"Aunt Elena?" A small voice asks and she looks down to Marcella in front of her. The girls smile at each other and Elena ruffles the princesses hair slightly.
"Such a beauty you will be!" Elena promises and Marcella shakes her head.
"I want to be just like you!" The girl smiles and Elena shakes her head slightly. She smiles at her young niece before placing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
"You will be Marcella, the beauty of Westeros! You'll marry a lord and live a happy comfortable life protected by your husband and loved by your children," She answers and Marcella grins up at her Aunty with a tooth missing.
"When will you do that?" The young girl asks and Elena shakes her head slightly. Marcella watched her aunties smile fade slightly as she tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear.
"That's not me," She answers and Marcella nods with a smile.
"You'll find someone!" She promises and Elena laughs watching her skip off towards her mother. Tyrion lay there watching the conversation with a sadness in his heart. Elena was treated much the bastard as he was and she believed no one would ever marry her. He gently leaned over and kissed his sisters head. She felt the love he meant even if he never said it. They smiled at each other sadly and parted ways.

Elena watched as Arya flicked food at her sister embarrassing her in front of the queen. She giggled as Robb escorted Arya to bed and earned a distasteful look off of Cersie. Flicking her eyes over the entire feast she concluded that Jon Snow wasn't there. Slowly she rose and snuck out of the feast to the outside world. She looked up and saw him practicing his sword work on a dummy.
"He dead yet?" She asks startling him and he turns and smiles when he sees her. He had never felt relaxed at the idea of a Lannister's presence but she was different from the rest. She looked up at him and smiled.
"What you doing out here?" She asks and his face turns sour. She sensed the tension and sighed.
"A bastard would be disrespectful in front of the royal family," He answers and she realised it wasn't Ned Stark who made that decision. Tyrion appeared and looked Jon up and down.
"Hello Bastard," He smiles and Jon tenses up.
"Did I offend you bastard? Let me give you some advice bastard, never forget what you are, no one else will! Wear it like armour and it can never be used to hurt you," He answers and Jon raises an eyebrow.
"How would you know what it's like to be a bastard?" He asks and Elena flicks her eyes to Tyrion who looks at her before looking back Jon.
"Every dwarf is a bastard in their fathers eyes," He murmurs and Jon nods as Tyrion disappears. The two young adults stood there silently and Elena looked up at the sky.
"I envy the north," She murmurs against the cold as her words form a cloud of breath in front of her. Jon raised an eyebrow and looked up. The stars shine brightly tonight twinkling against the dark background of the night sky. She looks back down and smiles at Jon.
"Your family loves each other, your parents love each other, and their children," She answers and Jon nods with a small sigh. Ned loved him but Catlyn hated him for his fathers decisions. Jon smiled at the young girl and walks towards the stables.
"I'll show you the best part of the North, come on," He offers and she smiles taking his hand. Slowly she jumps on the horse in front of him and takes the reins. He holds on to the saddle wondering why out of all the people in the world, did she choose to spend her night with him. He watched as she controlled the horse and gently he took the reins from her.

Elena stared around at the beautiful northern country around her. Hills and fields surrounded her but so did trees and wildlife. She smiled at the view of little lanterns in the villages below them. This would truly be a night to remember.
