"Hi." I said with a small smile as I sat down inside Alex's car.
He didn't smile back. Instead, he frowned. "Where the heck-"
"Somewhere." I interrupted. "I know you're mad at me for not letting you know where I was going, but it was so sudden. An emergency. I had to go. And I didn't have my phone with me to call you."
I looked at him, silently pleading.
He shook his head and started the car. "How's your Physics preparation?" He changed the topic.
I smiled in response. Maybe he wasn't that mad at me. "It's good." I nodded, placing my bag on my lap before braiding my hair.
I had no time to do that back at home. I woke up five minutes late. And Alex was always impatient whenever he was at my driveway.
"Good?" He raised an eyebrow. "That's new."
I kept the part where Blake tutored me, all to myself.
"So, you aren't mad at me?" I asked after a while.
I was looking at him hopefully. Very much. He glanced at me with narrowed eyes. "Of course, not."
"Aw thanks, Allie." I gave him a side hug, slinging my arm around his neck. I was relieved. A lot.
"But you should've told me earlier though." He pointed out.
I zipped up my bag. "Told you what?"
"That you're into Blake Matthews." He answered with a slight frown.
I stopped and looked at him in surprise.
"Wasn't he the guy you came with at the match?" He asked. "I figured that out like, right now."
I was confused. A lot, actually. "Yeah?"
He glanced at me.
"Jenna...was the one who told that."
Who also happened to be my neighbor. Why the heck did I forget that?
"And how the hell did she came to know that I'm...into Blake?" I asked.
He rolled his eyes but kept looking ahead at the road. "You let him inside your house last night." He mentioned.
I was kind of surprised that he wasn't getting uncomfortable by me staring at him that much. Not in that way, of course. But still.
"At least, that's what she mentioned in the group chat." He added.
"Why is she added in your football group chat when I'm not?" I asked.
"Only the members are added, Sky."
"Well, when did Jenna become a member?"
"She's the cheerleader."
