I jump off of the train and tear down the street with my purse flying behind me.
"Caroline!" I come to a screeching halt as I turn the corner.
I hear my name being called a second time.
"What?" I call.
"You left something!" The voice calls.
I turn on my heel and run back to the bus stop.
It's Calum Hood.
He hands me my wallet.
"Thank you." I say breathlessly.
I hear a bunch of screams and see a crowd of girls running up to us.
Calum winks at me and hops on to the bus before it pulls down the street.
I put my wallet back into my purse and run home.
Peggy is sitting on the couch.
"Im late." I say.
I walk into the back of my apartment and see my parents standing there.
"Caroline." I hear my name and turn around.
It's my boss, Kate.
"I have a big job for you tonight. Do you think you could take table 12?"
I've never served that table before.
That's in a private room.
"I knew you wouldn't let me down. If you handle this well, I'll consider a raise, alright?" She asks.
"Thank you." I smile.
"They'll be here any minute, and they shouldn't have to wait. I'll come get you once they sit."
She walks out of the kitchen.
I grab my notepad, pen, and some extra straws.
Surely enough, Kate comes walking back in.
"It's time." She says.
I take a deep breath and make my way to the back of the restaurant.
I pull back the curtain and almost fall over.
All of them.
I'll admit, I'm a pretty big fan.
This is too crazy.
Calum looks up from his phone and smiles.
"Hey, Caroline." He says.
Michael gives me an odd look.
"You two know each other?" He asks.
I shake my head.
"Uh, no. He found my wallet today. What can I get you guys to drink?" I ask them.
They give me their orders, and I quickly make my way back to the kitchen to hang them up.
"5 seconds of summer." I shake Maria's arm.
"What?" She asks.
"Im serving them!"
