"Have a nice day!" I shout to my teacher, although he can't hear me over all the other students shouting and laughing. The chairs making a screech against the floor that sounds like Satan has just been fucking summoned.
I walk out the door and pull out my phone, and as always, I text my mom that I'm on my way. Her response is always the same. I stare at my phone.

Read those words over and over again. Those words mean no one wants to talk to you, it's a sentence I read often.
As I'm about to put away my phone, I hear a ding. I turn it on and I see a text message from Christine. The short sample of the text says,
Hey, Micha! I'm pretty sure I told you I would te...
I open the text. I read the full thing,
Hey, Micha! I'm pretty sure I told you I would text you after school, about the thing Jeremy said at lunch. Its a little weird, not gonna lie. But, I mean, Jeremy's pretty weird too, so I guess it suits him XD I mean weird in a good way. You know like, quirky, or whatever it's called. He's sweet, you know, weird is a good thing, I swear! Anyway, here:
What the fuck? He called me his love? Seriously? I mean, I know he was just joking, but still. Maybe he slightly means it? Just a little bit. A tad. A grain of sand. A little sliver.
Thanks Chris! And yeah, Jeremy is sweet
I send that to her and walk home.

I smiled at my mama as she kisses me on the check and starts walking towards the stairway. Of course, she does this after basically forcing me to eat, asking me about my day, and telling me how much she loves me. It's a daily routine.
"Wait, Ma, is it okay if Jeremy comes over?" I stop her before she's out of sight.
"Sure honey! Don't be too loud! Tell mom I'm upstairs!" She shouts back and immediately pull out my phone to text Jeremy to come over.
A/N: Well, that was short (just like Rich)
