A Summer Thing is a standalone novel. It includes characters first introduced in The Arrangement. This story takes place two summers after The Arrangement. I set the story at The Currier House located on the river that runs along The Point into the Atlantic. The Point is a unique fictional stretch of land on the coast of southern Maine. It has one of the most beautiful sandy beaches, and marsh and tidal rivers that surround it on the land side. The only way onto TP by car is over the causeway across the marsh.

When Patricia's daughter comes to her battered, she has to look at her own past as she helps her heal. As she focuses on mothering, she becomes aware that she is also woman.

After leaving Parker, Callie never thought she would have a summer to remember even if it was just a summer thing. When she needs a handsome father who is the opposite of Parker in every way, she discovers what love really means.

Trigger warning: This story is about domestic abuse. Chapters with abusive interactions contain a warning.
