It was currently half an hour past five and I was laying across the plush sofa in my walk in closet. My mind was going haywire while trying to think of an outfit to wear and the fact that I was supposedly meeting my in-laws very soon didn't make me feel any better.
Finally my mind settled on a plain black off the shoulder dress that said sort of sophisticated but stylish at the same time I hope.
After tousling my hair to the side to give it slightly more volume I slid on my favourite louboutins and made my way downstairs.
My heart hammered against my chest as I locked eyes with my father. His soulless black eyes stared at me with such hatred that i couldn't even begin to fathom.
"Couldn't you have worn a longer dress than that" he said looking me up and down.
"Why do you always have a problem with everything I do" I whispered harshly.
"Silencio, Their all waiting in the dinning room so you better be on your best behaviour Thea. Not even one mistake tonight" dad said his grim expression suddenly masked by a stiff smile that could almost fool anyone but me.
He carried on smiling but his grip on my arm tightened painfully as he guided me towards the dinning room.
"Ah Anthony it's a pleasure to see you again" my father smiled going into to hug Xavier's father. Xavier's father looked almost as intimidating as Xavier himself with his almost black eyes and his lips tilted into a frown almost always.
My eyes scanned the room before they stopped onto Xavier. He was no longer wearing his leather jacket but instead he was dressed in a dark blue tailored suit that fit him perfectly. his muscles were very prominent in the suit and his hazel eyes were standing out as usual. His tattoos peaked through one of the sleeves of his shirt giving him a more badass vibe and his hair was slicked back but still kept slightly messy making his hair look great.
I shuffled awkwardly as I noticed Xavier's intense gaze resting on me.
"Thea come and greet the Knight family" my dad said gripping onto my arm tighter than he should have.
Xavier's attention automatically dropped to my fathers fingers locked onto my wrist and I saw him visibly tense and his knuckles go a shade whiter.
