Hyunjin wakes with a throbbing headache, although it wasn't as bad as the one last night, the same annoying feeling is still pressuring his forehead and it feels like his sleep did nothing but drain more energy from him. Maybe he wasn't feeling himself that morning.
Or maybe he woke up a little too early for his own liking.
There was no sunlight creeping through the cracks of the twirling vines of the dome, which he surely would have seen if the sun had risen. He could tell that the grass underneath his sleeping pod had dew on them, making them look glossy. It must have been a pretty cold night for the grasses.
The young Slytherin climbs off his pod, letting his feet curl up in the damp grass. Shouldn't both of them start to head back to the castle? He's sure that the entrance must be unlocked by now, considering that many students usually go out for an early morning stroll around the castle for a breather. Hyunjin crosses his arms and begins to walk slowly to the pod across the room.
It's still a bit too dark to see clearly, but Hyunjin is sure Yujin is still swimming in her sea of dreams. The girl is still curled up into a small ball, her head resting peacefully on a pillow made of twines and her hair sprawling across it in loose curls, covering her face a little.
It's the first time Hyunjin has ever seen the vice-captain look a little less... intimidating. And Hyunjin is starting to think, Yujin seems like a human.
Not that he thought she was an alien in the first place, but it's just that the girl has never really shown her emotions before and the only known expression to him was her flat, bored look she wears every day. Never had he imagined for the girl to sleep in such a calm and peaceful expression that he's almost blown away by how different she looked.
Snapping out of his long train of thoughts, and after a lot of debate with his own self as to whether or not he should wake her, Hyunjin peeps his head in and reaches out for the girl's shoulder, shaking her a little to bring her out of her dreamland.
"Kwon," he says as he shakes her shoulder. "Wake up, we need to start heading back."
But Yujin doesn't budge.
"How is she so quick on the field but is such a heavy sleeper?" Hyunjin mutters under his breath, rolling his eyes as he tries again.
"Yujin-ah," and Hyunjin retracts his hand in an instant when the girl stirs and shifts around to face his side.
Yujin waves her hand unconsciously as if swatting an 'annoying thing' away from her before continuing her slumber. "Go away," she mumbles quietly.
Hyunjin bites his bottom lip, before returning back to his pod and reaches out for his uneaten bag of donuts from last night. It's gotten cold and the texture is probably a bit moist, but what's with a little magic? The boy heats the donuts up quickly (after a few tries, he's convinced that his wand is still a bit broken despite what Professor Bloome said) and the scent of freshly baked bread fills the room. He brings them over to Yujin's side of the room and places the brown paper bag inside.
