(AN: I decided to split the original chapters in half because they were extremely long)

The killing had begun, Kaede and Rantaro were dead again. He had thought that Kaede would have listened to him. Maybe under more calm circumstances she would have, but that hadn't happened. He had failed in saving her, again. If he wanted to save anyone else he would need to act fast. There was no other way. He couldn't do this on his own. If he was ever going to prevent the killings he needed help. But was there anyone that would first off believe him and second of all help him. The first person that came to mind was Kaito, but what help would he be. At this point in time he may not even believe him, they weren't friends at this stage. Who here shared his similar ideals.

When he arrived at breakfast with Kaito he was bombarded with sympathy and worried comments. He felt everyone's eyes on him all through breakfast. It was the first time he had ever been thankful for the monokubs arrival as it drew the attention off him. Breakfast had given him something to think about though. Potentially he had found someone who might be able to help him. Kokichi. He hadn't been his first preference, but he might be the only one who would believe the far fetched truth and act with him. They had a common goal, stopping the killing game and outing the mastermind. He had the advantage of knowing what Kokichi truly felt.

Once they all went their separate ways out of the Dining hall, he saw Kokichi along with a couple of other students make their way upstairs to investigate where the peculiar items could go. He followed the group on the pretence of helping out.
"Ah Himiko!" He ran to catch up to her and dumped the objects they were meant to be finding spots for in her unsuspecting hands. "I'm not good at this kinda stuff, could you use your magic to find where they're meant to go?" She looked at him, unimpressed,
"That's not how magic..."
Thanks Himiko!" He interrupted, giving her a blinding smile and scurrying off to where he had last seen Kokichi, the lolis voice reverberating behind him in outrage.

He found him in the newly accessible hallway in deep conversation with Maki.
"Excuse me," Shuuichi stepped in cautiously, Maki had that familiar glint in her eyes that forewarned danger, "I just need to borrow Kokichi for a second." Kokichi raised an eyebrow at him skeptically and Maki simply scoffed,
"I think it would be better if you both didn't return." She said coldly, glaring at the pair of them. It had been a while since Maki had acted this way towards him and the feeling he was getting from her wasn't that of something welcoming. Kokichi obviously didn't feel her murderous intent - or rather he didn't care,
"I was just asking~ I mean... what does the ultimate child caregiver have to hide in their lab, or were you perhaps lying this whole time?" Shuuichi grabbed Kokchi's arm and pulled him away. Kokichi didn't resist, but didn't pay him any notice either and continued, "I know when people are lying, I'll find out in the end nihihi~"

Shuuichi pulled him round the bend in the corridor and into an empty classroom. He opened the door quickly pulling Kokichi in and shut the door behind them.
"You can't talk like that to Maki, your only going to make life harder for yourself." Kokichi laughed, slipping out of Shuuichi's grip to sit on the table facing him.
"Well it's no fun if you don't play the game," he smirked, "just making things a little more interesting around here,"
"You're playing a game that you will inevitably lose, I'd quit while you still have the chance, and body parts." Kokichi simply shrugged and lent back onto his hands,
"So what did you want to ask me?" They were getting right into.

"Well... what would you say if I said I've done this before and I know everything that will happen." He watched Kokichi for a reaction, but got nothing in return. His heart stopped. He didn't know what he would do if Kokichi didn't believe him. Kokichi's unreadable expression bored into him.
"So your saying, that you know who will die, in what order and how? The whole who, what, when, why and how business?!" Shuuchi grimaced at the sound of the boy's excited tone while he talked about his friend's deaths.
"Yes... but I need your help to stop them, I don't want the same thing to happen again. Not now that I have the opportunity to stop it." He gripped tightly onto the inside of his sleeve to keep himself from fiddling.
"Ahh that's where we hit a very solid wall." Kokichi smiled sinisterly down at him, his eyes gleaming, "I do not want the killings to stop."

"No..." Shuuichi tried to keep his voice calm, but on the inside he was in a full blown panic. Why was he denying it! Kokichi didn't actually feel this way, he knew that! "I know how you truly feel Kokichi. This is just the facade you put on to hide your true feelings." Kokchi's face grew darker the longer he spoke until finally Shuuchi had stopped talking and they were left in silence. "Kokichi please you're the only one who can help," Kokichi laughed and slipped off the table gracefully, turning away from him and towards the door,
"Guess Mr Detective will have to save his friends on his own!"
