It get off of work around 1 and am home in no time. I'm extremely exhausted and all I want to do is sleep.
When I enter the house, all of the lights downstairs are off. My mom and Colton must already be asleep. I make my way upstairs and into my room.
The first thing I notice when I walk in is that my window is open, and I can see Colton on his roof next door. He sees me and smiles.
"What are you doing out there?" I laugh, approaching my window. I can see that he set up blankets and pillows, it looks quite comfy.
"I thought you'd enjoy a beautiful view after a tough night at work," he shrugs. "Now put on your pajamas and come join me."
I smile at his romantic gesture and follow his instructions. I quickly change out of my apron and dark clothing and decide to throw on his white T-shirt and some sweats because it is quite cold outside.
I step out onto the roof after I'm dressed and Colton gives me his hand to guide me over. Once I'm with him, I give him a huge kiss on his soft lips.
"Happy to see me?" he hums between our lips.
"Always," I smile and pull away and we lay down. I look up at the sky and am amazed by what I see. The moon if full and surrounded by a sea of stars. Even though I've seen it a million times, it always feels like the first.
"Beautiful," he whispers.
"I know," I agree, still gazing at the sky.
"I wasn't talking about the moon," Colton clarifies. I look at him and he's staring right at me. He looks so perfect. His dark hair is messy, just how I like it, and his face has the perfect amount of scruff. A true piece of art he is.
"Kiss me," I tell him, and he doesn't hesitate to obey. He pulls me to him and crushes his lips to mine. His tongue grazes my bottom lip before intertwining with mine. He pulls my body on top of him and I'm now straddling him.
I run my fingers through his hair and gently tug, causing a moan to escape his lips. I don't know what comes over me, but suddenly I'm filled with some type of confidence and I feel hot. I start to slowly rock my hips against him and he moans again, gripping my waist.
"Fuck Camryn," he moans slowly. I can feel him getting excited and it's starting to seem more real. Am I ready for this to happen? Right her, right now? Outside?!
My thoughts are interrupted by Colton flipping us over so he's now on top. He's supporting himself with both arms so I have to reach up for our lips to keep contact. I pull him down to me and wrap both of my legs around his waist. He shifts and wraps his arms around me, pulling us together as much as possible.
"Colton," I moan between kisses. He starts to grind his hips against mine, causing me to moan again.
"Do you... want me... to stop?" he asks breathlessly. Do I? of course I don't. My doubts earlier are insane, of course I want this.
Instead of answering his question directly, I reach my hand down, into his shorts. He sucks in a sharp breath and screws his eyes shut.
"Fuck... Cam... Are... you ... sure?" he asks and this time I nod. I place my other hand behind his neck and bring his mouth to mine again.
My hand is still down his shorts but I have no clue what I'm doing. I'm so inexperienced, I can't do this!
Colton moves his lips to my neck and this gives me a chance to talk.
"Um, Colton," I breathe. His head shoots up immediately.
"What, what's wrong?" he asks worriedly.
"I have no idea what to do," I say, embarrassed. He sighs in relief and smiles. He kisses me briefly and smiles again.
"Cam, it's okay. We don't have to hit a home run tonight, Hell, we don't even have to cover all the bases tonight. I just want you to be completely comfortable when we do this, so we'll take it slow, okay?" he smiles. His words shoot relief throughout my body.
For some reason I thought he'd laugh at my lack of experience, or get mad that we won't be having sex, but he did the exact opposite. This shows me that he does actually care about me.
"I love you," I say, pulling him in for a kiss.
"And I love you," he replies with his cheeky smile that makes my heart melt.
He rolls off of me and takes my hand in his. He doesn't do anything, he just holds it, a simple but beautiful gesture.
We both gaze up at the sky, and then something amazing happens. Up in the sky we see a shooting star. It happened quickly, and if we blinked we would've of missed it, but we both saw it.
"Make a wish," Colton whispers in my ear. I listen to him and close my eyes, ready to make a wish. I try to think of what to wish for, and then it hits me. I know exactly what I want.
"What did you wish for?" I ask him.
"Can't say, if I do it won't come true," he teases. I laugh and swat at his arm.
"You know that's the first time I've seen a shooting star from up here," I tell him.
"That's because I'm here," he smirks.
"Oh yes, your presence is magical Mr. Sommers," I laugh.
"It most definitely is Ms. Sutter, so just know, every time you see a shooting star, you have me to thank."
"Oh why thank you," I say sarcastically, leaning over to kiss him.
I really do love this boy, and he loves me. This moment is absolutely perfect and I wouldn't change a thing.
"Here, put this back on," he says. I look at him confusedly and he dangles my necklace from his fingers. He must've seen it on my counter. I haven't worn it since the night I yanked it off, in this exact spot, and I'm not entirely sure why.
We both sit up and Colton clips the necklace around my neck. I take the heart shaped charm between my fingers and examine it. I notice that the letters are much more visible, it almost looks brand new.
"How'd you do that?" I ask, looking to Colton.
He just shrugs and smiles, "I just brushed it up a little."
"Thank you," I say, leaning into him. "C'mon, it's cold and I'm tired." I take his hand and stand up.
Once we're back inside we both fall into a deep sleep as we hold each other through the night.
