Chapter 2:

"Castor? Castor??? CASTOR?!?! GET YOUR BUTT DOWN HERE! I HAVE TO SEND YOU TO THE ACADEMY IN AN HOUR!!" Rocky roared up the stairs. Heh roared, that was funny for a descendant of Leo, Rocky thought to himself.

I groaned as I realized that I would have to go to that place today. Ugh, okay, I'm the offspring of two majorly powerful people, both are missing, and then just to push me off the edge there's a school, Astrum Academy. A school for Wielders, usually they go at age eleven, and can stay there all through college, and I'm the only one who has been trained. Seldom does a new wielder be trained before age twelve. I rolled around in my bed for a minute and then caught a glimpse of my mom's portrait. She was still missing, and not found yet. I am still being hunted by a lot of people. I am still in California. Nothing much has changed. Yet in an hour I'll be leaving to go on a plane back to New York to go to school. I forced myself out of bed and put on a fresh shirt as opposed to my dirty rag of a pajama as well as pants. I jumped down the stairs and realized this may be the last time I get to do this. I looked around and took it all in. The chandelier hanging form the ceiling with its crystals giving off a rainbow reflection. I've grown a whole a lot and was 5''5 at age 12. I stomped into the kitchen and sat heavily and indignantly on the stool that stood near the sink counter. Rocky was frying eggs and bacon and only noticed me when I caught his plate falling off the stove.

"Castor, you sleepy head! You only have half an hour until I have to send you in." Rocky said, "You know that this house will not protect you forever, right?"

"Well, I was kinda hoping it would, I mean it would save a lot of trouble." I replied. Rocky gave me a scowl and rolled his eyes.

"Look, Castor I realize that going back to New York might bring back...unwanted memories. But Astrum Academy is the only place that's going to keep you safe." But I knew just as well as he did that the fact was: he couldn't come with me. There will be at least 10 or more attacks on me. And my Uncle had to go to a family reunion so he couldn't go with me.

I whispered, "Uncle, you trained me for 6 years. It will be okay... besides even if I am attacked I will probably survive long enough for help. Its a fool proof trip." I realize that I was against going, but I knew that my Uncle was hard on himself for not being on time when my mom was taken. He smiled his most Rocky-like smile and shoved the fried egg into my mouth. "Aaahhhs!!! It hurthssss! Wather!!" I cried out as the hot egg steamed my mouth. We laughed and talked about strategy for any ideas if I was attacked. We left about five minutes later to go to the airport. After probably a 10 minute drive we parked at the terminal.

"Okay, now listen, your still twelve, which is hard to believe I know. But still act innocent enough" he winked at the word enough, "I will follow you until the plane leaves. Then leave, if anything happens, defend yourself and if there are any witnesses you can use a Forget star. Then call me." I winked at him, nodded and left. In case you're wondering about the Forget stars, Wielders can cast star spells, we can call upon a less major spirit to cast a little doo-hickey. I walked into the airport and waited in line to get my ticket. I noticed a girl, probably my age, watching me closely. Suspicious much? I stepped out of line into a another line, and I realized that she followed me into that line. I realized that the line had moved me to the front and got my tickets and ran away.

The girl looked frantic chasing after me, "Wait! I need your help!" she called after me. Her hazel brown hair was swinging side to side, this girl was obviously athletic, and determined.

"Never gives up does she?" I muttered, and cast a star,

"Spirits of Disarray! Halt!" She looked aghast that I had used a star and then bumped into a table. She looked dazed for a second, and I realized that her eyes were a sea green color. But I realized that my spell would wear off really soon so I rushed into the busy sea of people, through the security, and into the gates. I rushed to my gate and saw they were boarding, I grinned and gave them my ticket and ran into the plane. I found my seat quickly at the business class section and sat down. An attendant came and asked me,

"Oh, your so cute! Can I get you anything? how about a drink?" her batting eyelashes freaked me out

"Uh, no thank you." I said hastily and ran into the bathroom. I stood there in the bathroom concentrating for the girl that followed me. One, no. Second, no. Third, no. Fourth... yes! a brilliant familiar spark. But then I realized another presence, something dark, eerie, and spine chilling. A veiled bounty hunter, chasing me on a plane? It was still miles away though. I felt a jolt as I realized the plane was taking off. As I felt a bump telling me we were off the ground, I felt the bounty hunter speed closer, ten miles away, 7 miles, away, 2 miles away... I couldn't take care of the girl right now, when there is hunter heading for me, or both of us possibly. I concentrated hard on the wing of the plane and saw a little membrane of an entrance that I could crawl through to destroy the hunter. How would I get there? I would have to use another star.

"Shoot, not again."

"Spirits of Time, FREEZE!" I called tiredly, a time spell was quite exhausting. As time froze I walked out to my seat and broke the window and crawled out and fixed the window. Since time was frozen the wind was no problem so I delicately crawled onto the west wing and prepared for time to start again. When it did I was so close to being blown off the plane and into the pacific. I regained a balance and through slits of eyes saw the hunter.

"Spirit of Gemini, Lend me your power!" I called tiredly, this would have to be done fast or I would be too exhausted. From thin air, I pulled out two spray shooter pistols. I positioned them and started firing at the hunter. I was the master of dual, twice, both, and twin weapons. I could pull out 2 twin swords, guns, bows, spears, you name it. Soon enough the bullets reached the hunter and it fell. The veil and itself dissolving before it even reached the ocean. I smiled, that was way easier. I froze time again, lost consciousness for a couple seconds, woke and came back into the plane. I was too tired to notice the girl from before was sitting right next to me all of the sudden.

"So I assume your also heading to the Academy, I'm Jane. I'm not trained yet, unlike you apparently." Jane said in a giggly voice. I sat there, shocked. Then through my head back and laughed, this was going to be an interesting year.
