~Roomates~ (Given Up On)

Chapter 4

  Over the week, America was having a pretty good time besides homework and such, and the dorms were going to be ready soon so he was excited about that. However, people at the school had started to see America and Russia as 'rivals', since they were both pretty popular. America didn't like it at all since he wanted to be friends with Russia, but Russia didn't seem to care about being rivals OR friends. Russia would usually give America short replies or just ignore him entirely.

  Besides that, America was having a pretty good time. He swore Japan and South Korea were up to something, but whenever they asked they just dismissed it and said they weren't planning anything, and that America's 'Just paranoid'. He also found out the hard way that if you say "T-gay" to India there's a 100% chance you'll be hit with a ruler. Unless you were Sweden.

  Over the weekend, America packed his room with texas and New York's help, and they just cleaned Americas room in general and they found America didn't actually have much to bring, since they threw away stuff that America didn't need.

  On Monday, America had to walk to school with his boxes and such, but luckily Canada who had already moved into his dorm came to help America bring the boxes to his new dorm. America set down one of the boxes, all the states gathered around, they were gonna miss America even though he was going to visit. However, they also wanted to see who America was going to put in charge while he was gone. America let out a sigh, looking at all of them who were either tense, confident, or they just didn't care. Texas was expecting to take over, being the biggest state and all. "Just tell us whose in charge, America" Nevada said, starting to get impatient. America felt a smirk come across his face.

"Rhode Island"

  America left them all shocked, and he swore he heard Rhode Island scream, "HA, SUCKERS, LOOK WHO'S IN CHARGE NOW." It made America chuckle, since half the states forgot that Rhode Island was even a state or just pushed Rhode Island around.

  Canada and America talked on the way to the campus, and once they got to the dorm America and Canada parted ways. He started to unpack, and he couldn't help but be curious as to who his roommate would be, since everyone had one. Canada was dormed with Australia, Greenland and Iceland were dormed together, and of course South Korea and Japan were dormed together, it seemed like in everything they did they were together.

  America had finished unpacking before he laid down on his bed, exhausted but thankfully the school gave everyone a day off so they could unpack and such. America must have been laying there for like, an hour before he heard the door open, which startled America so he quickly sat up, looking at the door.

  He was shocked to see who was there. "...I must have the wrong room. Wait- this is dorm 30..." The other male said, checking to see if this was the right dorm.

It was Russia.

America was roommates with Russia, of all people.

  "Uh...hey?" America said uncomfortably, but maybe this was his chance to get to know Russia better and end this stupid 'rivalry' people had made up. America stood up as Russia started to unpack all his stuff. "You need help or anything?" America asked, which Russia replied with a simple 'no'. America grumbled a bit, sitting on the edge of the bed and once Russia was done he sat down on his own.

  "...I don't hate you, by the way" Russia said, and it was the longest thing he's heard Russia say to him so far. "What? Really? You just keep giving me short answers" America pointed out. "But I don't like you either."

  "Gee, thanks" America said, rolling his eyes. "But this could also be a way to get to know each other" America said, trying to see the best in the situation despite how awkward this conversation was. Russia just nodded, before saying "Why did they even dorm us together? It was random unless you asked of course, and I don't think either of us asked and you would think they wouldn't dorm us together since we 'hate' each other" Russia pointed out.

  America thought for a second, and that's when it all clicked in his head.

Japan and South Korea.

Sorry this ones a bit shorter then the rest, I wanted to get this out because for the next few days I'm not gonna publish anything. I got a few pretty bad sun burns and I just wanna rot in bed for a few days if thats cool with everyone?
