"I mean Y/n!" Your friend exclaimed as the two of you walked down the street. "It would be so romantic if you meet your soulmate when you least expected it to be? Imagine him bumping into you while you're in a rush, your eyes will meet and then your heart will go dugun-dugun. I caㅡ"

"I mean Y/f/n!" You exclaimed with the same tone as her. "For the 9th time, I'm not interested with that soulmate thingy and hey, I never expected to meet my 'soulmate' anywhere because what if it's not even real?"

"You're such a bummer." Your friend pouted. "Now I feel bad questioning Mark for breaking up with you."

"Hey that's too much!" You said, smacking your friend on her arm.

"I'm just kidding." She chuckled. "But seriously though, I have no clue why my favorite couple suddenly decided to break up."

"It's because he's a player." You breathed out. "And missy, you've got the informtion wrong. It was I who broke up with him."

"Wow, that's a brave thing to do." She said out of disbelief. You just smiled in response before leaving your friend behind as you reached your apartment complex.

After changing into some comfortable clothes, you went out once again to drop by your favorite spot near your apartment. It was down there, a few blocks away from your complex was a bridge where no one really passes by. Underneath the bridge was a small waterway that perfectly reflects the sunrays. The scene was breathtaking which is why you would go there to watch the sunrise and the sunset.

When you reached the bridge, you weren't expecting someone leaning over the railings. He's a super good looking guy with a skin way more prettier than a woman's. Your breath hitched as he turned towards you and smiled shyly.

"H-Hello." You said but mentally cursed yourself for stuttering.

"Hi." His soft voice echoed through the air causing your blood to rush to your cheeks.

You were afraid to make the atmosphere more awkward but being a natural awkward person, you couldn't avoid it. You leaned to the railings as well, quietly watching as the sun descends. As usual, it's a fascinating scene but having another presence near you as you watch the scene, it was weird.

The two of you remained there, quiet, until the sky was covered with complete darkness and the stars appear one by one. You would occasionally steal glances towards the tall guy beside you. He was just staring into the horizon, making you wonder what's on his thoughts.

"I think we should head home." His voice interrupted your endless thoughts about different things. You turned your head towards him, only to see him smiling.

"Yeah.. I think so too.." You breathed out, getting lost in his charming smile.

He walked ahead first then when you finally gathered back your composure, you've followed him behind. You were surprised when you found out he lives on the same apartment building as you.

"I just moved here." The guy chuckled as he stopped in front of his unit, which coincidentially the one next to yours.

"Ah then welcome, new neighbor." You chuckled awkwardly. "I hope we'll get along."

"I hope so as well." The guy smiled. The two of you stayed there awkwardly. He then chuckled, "You should get in first."

"Oh! Right, I'm sorry ha ha ha." You awkwardly responded before entering your unit with your cheeks blushing really hard as you embarassed yourself in front  of your neighbor.

He was being a gentleman, you thought. Y/n you're so embarassing!

Months have passed, you and your neighbor, Jungwoo, got more closer to each other. Everyday you would find him on the same spot as the first time you've met him. The first few days of him being on your secret spot was awkward but turns out you both have a lot of similarities, creating an unexplainable bond between the two of you. You found him funny and nice, he would always make you laugh and smile.

Everytime he'll see you sighing because of exhaustion or anything, he would do silly things and sometimes would even sing just to see the pretty smile of yours. With his sweet personality, you can't really help but fall for him.

"I'm really curious on what's running on your mind." You said to him as both of you watched the sunset.

"There are lots." He chuckled.

"Like what?"

"You'll probably think it's weird when you hear it." He anxiously eyed you but you smiled at him in reassurance.

"Oh come on." You said. "You've heard my weirdest thoughts already, how come you can't tell me yours?"

"It's just... really weird."

"Don't worry, I'm weird as well." Your statement caused Jungwoo to laugh, making your stomach to churn.

"I was wondering," he started. "is it really possible to forget your past?"

"Could be, if you have amnesia." You answered, squinting your eyes at his questions. "Jungㅡ"

"It was just a thought, Y/n." He chuckled. "Because I think forgetting your past will make you a different person."

"Yes," you agreed "your past is a part of you. If you forget or remove it, it would be like something will be missing. You'll be a puzzle missing its one piece."

"Same as my thought." Jungwoo chuckled once again, being amazed at how your minds connect to each other.

"Give me another one."

Jungwoo laughed at you but he then thought for a while before speaking, "Do you believe in soulmates?"

"Uhh actually I don't." You shook your head. "What about you?"

"I believe in that thing." He answered.

"Then tell me about those soulmates thingy."

Jungwoo then turned serious, his eyes meeting yours, staring deeply as if he was searching something behind your orbs.

"Eventually," he started. "soulmates meet, for they have the same hiding place."

Ba-dump. "Eh?"

"Quite interesting, isn't it?" He smiled. "No matter where you hide, you'll always meet your soulmate."

"Is it really true though?"

"Yes." Jungwoo then reached out for your hand, making your heart go frenzy. He then kissed the back of your hand, giving you the warmest smile he ever had. "Because I'm certain I've already met mine."
