Jesus Christ died for the sins of every one the face of the earth. But let me explain something to you.
"Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.ĺ
See what the Apostle Paul tells these people at Galatia. Read it once more.
He implies that a man is justified by the faith of Christ not works of the law. In vs 20 he later expounds more and says
"I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
The underlined phrase brings you something to know. Paul talks of the life that he had obtained through believing in Jesus Christ in the earlier verse and in the latter he talks of living by the faith of the son of God.
You should get to know that the people that crucial Jesus didn't believe in Him and yet Jesus Christ still died for their sins. But that didn't justify them. They missed out on thing and that was Believing and because of that they werent justified though they had already been made free from their sins.
Believing has got a big role to play on this.
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Read the verses carefully and you'll get to see that with your heart you have to believe and with your mouth you have to confess until salvation.
Now the general reason why they weren't yet justified was because the weren't yet Born Again; They hadn't yet received the gift of Salvation into their hearts.
So justification or being acquainted not guilty starts from the point when you receive the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour of your life. When you submit and welcome him into your heart : When you become born again.
When you do it He the catapults you to the kingdom of His dear son (Colosians 1:13). You become his sheep and He becomes your shepherd. You become like him (I John4:17).
At this point of time it's wrong to call yourself a sinner because your Father In Heaven is not a sinner, You are born of his Word.
Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
This incorruptible seed is the Word of God.
You become new, A person without a past. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
That means no records of your past life even if you may not feel any difference but it still remains like it. I happens spiritually.
In case you haven't yet received the Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and saviour of your life, I invite you to make Him as Lord and saviour of your life by praying thus:
"O Lord God, I believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ, Son of the living God. I believe He died for me and God raised Him from the dead. I believe He's alive today. I confess with my mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord of my
life from this day. Through Him and in His Name, I have eternal life; I'm born again. Thank you Lord, for saving my
soul! I'm now a child of God. Hallelujah!"
If at all you confessed this prayer then Congratulations! You're now a child of God.
