"Are you hungry?" Trey walked into my room with a plate of food, "you haven't been eating, you good?"
"Yeah I'm fine, just haven't been hungry that's all."
He sat the plate on the nightstand and took a spot next to me on my bed. "Why is you lying? You ain't slick, talk."
"There's something wrong with you, you be in this room all day and don't speak to nobody, I be hearing you talk to yourself- I ain't think it was that serious."
"You gon' think I'm crazy."
"I already think you crazy." He laughed.
I shot him a glare.
"I was just playing." He put his hands up in defense, "nah but for real, you can tell me anything."
"Okay, you know that dark skinned boy who be walking around here?" I was referring to Frank, I wanted to know if I was the only one who saw him. "He followed in behind you the other day when you came in here to talk to me."
"There wasn't anybody in here... It was just me and you."
"Figures." I said lowly.
"Listen, this is gonna sound crazy and you not gon' believe me but I don't really care- I see ghosts."
All he did was laugh, and I expected that out of him- I would expect that out of anybody actually. "Whatever, you can leave now, and you can take that nasty smelling food out of here too."
"Wait, no I'm sorry, continue."
"Why should I if all your gonna do is fucking laugh?"
"I'm not gonna laugh I promise."
I rolled my eyes and continued. "You know Frank? Frank Ocean?"
"How do you know about him?"
"Because I saw him you idiot, that day you came in here he was right behind you."
"That's impossible, he died two years ago."
"Nigga did I or did I not just say I see dead people? He was wearing a red T-shirt that said Young & Reckless, that's all I remember."
At this point Trey was starting at me in silence, he wasn't even blinking.
"Are you okay? You look like you just saw a ghost." I laughed, "see what I did there?"
He didn't laugh, nor did he move, he sat there in silence.
"That's what he was wearing the day he died." He whispered.
"Told you, I ain't lying."
"What else can you do? You got magical powers or somethin'?"
"No nigga I ain't Sabrina The Teenage Witch okay, I just see dead people- and talk to them."
"KIDS! DESERT!" Ms. Williams called, cutting him off.
"Hold that thought." He got up to go into the kitchen but I followed him, needed a change of scenery anyway.
There was just some raggedy ass cake sitting on the table, it ain't look to appealing so I just made my way back into my room until Trey grabbed my arm. "Nah, come into my room."
With that being said, I followed him into his room whom he shared with some white boy- Evan I believe his name was. The room was very vibrant and nicely decorated but something on his dresser caught my eye. There were two pictures of him and a boy- it was Chris.
"How do you know Chris?" I questioned, examining the pictures.
"Chris? The boy in these pictures."
"How do you know him?"
"Why are you being so difficult? I know he's dead, just answer the question." I didn't mean for it to come out that harshly but he was avoiding the question.
"That's my brother."
I don't think I heard that right. "Your what?"
"My brother, we have the same dad."
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah, now how do you know him?"
"I see him. I lived in the house he was murdered in."
"Is he here now?"
"Do you really see him Jeanylice? Or are you just tryna fuck with my head?"
"I swear on my mother's grave."
Suddenly Chris appeared in front of me and his eyes were blood shot red, that's how I knew he was pissed. "We need to talk."
I looked at Trey and placed the picture frame back on his dresser, "I'll be right back."
I left the room quickly, following behind Chris into my room.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" He yelled, "are you stupid?!"
"What? What did I do wrong?"
"You can't just go around telling people you see ghosts dumbass!"
"Your brother Christopher, I told your fucking brother which you totally forgot to inform me about!"
"I didn't think it mattered."
"It does matter when we both live in the same fucking house, you know how curious I am."
"Well you need to stop being curious, curiosity killed the cat nigga."
"So when were you gonna tell me about you and Trey?"
"I wasn't gonna tell you, that's the thing."
"You're so fucking annoying!" I threw a pillow at him but it went through him. Next thing I know, I was pinned against the wall- his cold body making my body shake.
"I'm gon need you to watch who you talkin' to."
"What are you gonna do about it?"
>to be continued.....<
Trey and Chris o.o
Y'all think Chris was wrong for not telling Jeany about Trey being his brother?
And you think Jeany is wrong for telling Trey that she sees ghosts?
