"Hey ladies, why did you come out here, we were looking for you inside." asked Colton, he again was accompanied by Niall and the curly haired boy. The three of them sat down beside us on the pool chairs.
"It was stuffy inside so we decided to get some fresh air." I said, I don't care about Lexi's lies anymore, maybe I can get something out of this Colton guy.
"Where did you have to go?" asked Lexi. "I thought that we would get to spend some time together tonight." Lexi gushed. Does she like him? How could she like him and I have never even heard of him before.
"Oh don't worry Lexi," he smirked. "we will have plenty of time to catch up later. In fact why don't we go talk now." said Colton. "You two can keep her company." he says with a smirk.
"Sounds great." said Lexi with a nervous smile. She stood up out of her seat and gave me a reassuring look, then she disappeared inside of the house with Colton. The three of us sat in silence for a while, before the blonde boy spoke up?
"So what is your name again?" he asked awkwardly.
"Holland Weis," I replied giving the boy a smile. "and what are your names?" I asked looking over at the curly haired boy who had still not said a word.
"I'm Niall Horan," said the blonde boy. "and this is my good friend Harry Styles." Niall said patting his friend on the shoulder. Why won't Harry talk? He has not spoken a single word all night long. I continue to make conversation with Niall as Harry sits there staring down at his hands and twirling one of his rings. I like Niall he is very kind and friendly, he always keeps the conversation going and has something nice to say.
"Hey Niall can you come over here for a minute?" yells somebody from the distance. He gives me a sympathetic look before he stands up to go follow the voice. Now it is just Harry and I, I'm clueless about what to do right now. Should I say something to him? Another minute goes by of awkward silence.
"So how well do you know Colton?" I asked trying to start up conversation while at the same time answers about Lexi.
"Well enough," he replies. His head is down facing his hands, he is still twirling the ring on his finger. "How does your friend know him? I have never heard of her before." he says bitterly.
"I actually don't know how she met him. She dragged me to this party saying we were just going to have fun. Then as soon as we got here she was just looking for him and we ran in to Niall" I tell him. He gives me a small nod still not raising his eyes to meet mine. I understand that he might be shy, but now he is just being rude. "I think I am going to go find Lexi," I tell him, he raises his eyes to meet mine.
"No don't," he says. "you are'nt going to be able to find her in that house. Just wait here she will come find you when Colton is done with her." Harry spits as he says Colton's name. What is his problem? I decide to listen to him and stay seated beside the pool. I watch him as he lowers his head back down and continues to twirl his ring. Again we sit in silence. I pull out my phone and text Lexi.
** Hey Lexi I wanna go please come get me when you read this. I am still by the pool -H**
"She isn't going to text you back." Harry says.
"And why is that?" I ask him frustrated.
He gives a small deep laugh. "Have you been inside there you can't heat anything but the music. How do you expect her to heat her phone?" his tone is horrible. What have I done for him to be this rude to me. I dismiss his actions, he is probably right she won't be able to hear her phone inside that house.
"So what is your problem?" I ask him with edge to my voice. I am getting a random jolt of confidence, I like it. "You have been so rude all night, have your parents ever taught you any manners?" I say with anger in my voice. He stops twirling his rings and brings his emerald eyes up to mine.
"I don't have any parents." he says in a flat tone. "So maybe they would have, but I guess we will never know."
