FUCK THE RULES

I headed down my stairs and opened my front door.
For a moment, it was silent and beautiful.
His hair was messy, but so calm and perfect.
His eyes were so calm and charming.
He was messy, calm, perfect and charming.
He was him.
For a moment, I took in every inch of him and became more obsessed.
I was in my worse looking state and I didn't care because he was right there in front of me.
So I hugged him, like I was never gonna see him again.
It took a moment, but he hugged back just as tight.
For a moment, I didn't care if the whole neighborhood saw me in my red boxer shorts with my messy hair.
For a moment, I didn't care we were on my front porch hugging our hearts out.
Then, I cried for the millionth time that night.
But it was out of relief, because I felt his touch.
Right into his shoulder, I sobbed and hugged him just a little tighter.
"Thank you." I choked out.
I needed him, he was my relief and my escape.
"It's no problem, al." He said and patted my back.
He didn't ask what was wrong, or why I was crying.
He did exactly what I wanted him to do, comfort me.
A couple hours later, we were sitting on my bed and he decided to spend the night with me.
We talked like nothing happened earlier that day.
"Want some ice cream, D?" I asked him with a small smile.
"Yeah sure, want me to get it?" He offered, while getting up.
"No, I'd like for you to come with me though." I said and grabbed his hand.
We went down the stairs, both of us still confused about tonight but we were going along with it.
He got vanilla ice cream from the freezer.
"Basic much?" He said teasing on my flavor choice.
"I have toppings." I said, defending myself.
"Okay, where?" He said leaning against the counter.
I got on my tippy toes and opened the cabinet right next to him.
"Pick your poison." I gestured towards the sprinkles and different chocolates.
"Hmm." He picked chocolate syrup and chocolate chips.
I left mine normal with chocolate chips.
I felt so tired, but he seemed wide awake.
We ended up watching mean girls and stayed up until 3 AM.
"I'm so tired." I groaned and rubbed my eyes.
"You can go to sleep if you want." Dante said, wiping his eyes and yawning.
"I have to get back home, al." Dante said, while checking his phone.
"Oh, ok." I said and got up to lead him to the front door.
"Thank you for staying with me, Dante, I mean it." I said sincerely.
"It's really no problem, Al." He hugged me once more.
"Well, bye D." I said smiling and opening the front door.
"See ya around, Al." He smiled back and started walking.
After seeing him turn and continue walking down the block, I closed the door and went back upstairs.
My butterflies went crazy but I felt guilty.
'What if Audrey finds out?' I thought to myself.
"I didn't even do anything with him." I said calming myself.
'But you felt something with him.' My conscience thought.
I sighed and laid on my bed till I fell asleep.
