"Adelram!" I heard Rachel yell before I could enter the manor. I quickly turned and watched as she ran from her mother's side up to my sister and I. "Are you alright?" She asked worriedly making me give her a small nod.

"I am unharmed" I returned as she gave a sigh and a small nod before her mother called her back. Deloise and I watched as she returned to her mother's side before we both walked into the manor.

"Alfred!" Deloise called in delight as she ran from my side and over to the grey-haired butler, practically jumping at him with a hug as he smiled brightly at her.

"Miss Deloise!" Alfred exclaimed in delight as well as he held the blond girl fondly. I gave the pair a small nod before strolling up the stairs and finding Bruce's room. "Is it going to hurt?" I heard Bruce ask as I saw him sitting in his bed with his father at his side.

"It will. But it will feel better once its been set" Mr Wayne answered as I joined his mothers side. "You will be fine, Bruce" I spoke, my own German accent showing through a small bit. Mrs Wayne gave me a warm smile which I returned a small nod.

"On the count of 3" Mr Wayne stated as Bruce nodded and held his breath. "1...2...3" He declared before Bruce cried out. I clenched my own teeth at the sound and grabbed his hand, rubbing at it as he tightened his grip.

After a minute he opened his eyes and sat up, moving the ligament around easily. "Thank you" He spoke to his father before he turned to me and dove at me with a hug. The force knocked me to the ground making me yelp in surprise.

"Bruce!" I yelped before we both began laughing. "You had me worried, Mein Freund!" I spoke before rolling over and standing to my feet, lending the young master a hand which he thankfully took.

"What does that mean?" He questioned as his parents sat together at the edge of the bed, watching both of us softly. "Mein Freund?" I asked as he nodded. "You, Bruce, are my friend. Mein Freund" I said warmly as his eyes lit up with realisation.

"And you are my friend as well" He replied as he gave me a wide smile which made my own lips curl into a smile. "Adelram! Time to go!" I heard my father call making me sigh and rub a hand on my left cheek.

"Adel" Mr Wayne spoke, using my nickname he and Bruce gave me. "Ice pack" He spoke, holding a hand out with a small ice pack which I thankfully took and hid in my coat pocket, hiding it from my father's sight.

"Danke" I thanked, giving him a grateful nod before walking for the door. "Rest well, Bruce" I spoke before disappearing from the room.

"We will be going to an opera tonight" Father spoke as Deloise and I stood side by side in our formal clothing, myself wearing a black suit, white undershirt and dark grey tie whilst Deloise wore a ruby dress with light grey sandals.

"Du will both be on your best behaviour, understood?" Father growled as Deloise and I both nodded once. "Ja, Vater" We both answered as Father smirked and turned to our mother as she entered the foyer.

"Everything alright, Liebe?" She asked father as his satisfied smirk turned into a loving smile. "Ja, Mein Liebe. Everything is perfect" He answered as Mother smiled and walked over to Deloise, connecting her arm in her own and walking to the door with Father at their side.

Father, Mother and Deloise were all watching the opera with mesmerised gazes whilst I sat bored and played with my tie. At one point, I had gotten so bored that my blue eyes had left the dark grey tie and had wondered around, observing the audience.

'Rich man, Rich lady, Rich man, Rich man, Noble Mother, Bruce, Caring Father, Rich- What?' I exclaimed in my head as my blue eyes snapped back onto the shorter height of Bruce's head. I huffed proudly at myself for discovering my best friend.

When he began wriggling in his seat, I quirked an eyebrow and looked back to the stage to find that the actors were portraying bats. My eyes then wondered back to Bruce as he, his father and mother all stood up and politely left.

I stayed in my seat obediently before I heard two shots from a pistol ring out. By the looks of it no one had noticed as the choir were playing rather loudly. Biting back my own fear, I turned to my father with a shaky voice. "Vater, may I please step out?" I asked calmly as he turned to me with an unpleasant look.

"You may" He spoke as I nodded gratefully and quickly left for the same exit Bruce and his parents had left through. The retreating figure of a man caught my attention once I opened the door. I watched with confusion before noticing the crouched figure of Bruce over his dead parents.

"Bruce!" I exclaimed as I leapt for his side. "He killed them" I heard him murmur as I pulled him away from his father's grip. "It's going to be alright, Bruce" I whispered as he cried into my chest. I moved my arms over his back and rubbed it softly as he cried.

"Adelram, we are- What did you do?" Father hissed as he quickly walked over. "I did nothing, Vater! Now, go and call the police" I snapped, feeling Bruce whimper in my grip from Father's hiss. I could feel Father's anger bubbling making me shift so he could see Bruce's brown hair.

The look on his face changed from raged to slightly scared making me snicker under my breathe as he breathed and ran back inside. "I-I'm scared, A-del" Bruce whimpered once the door closed fully. I tightened my grip on him and buried my head in the crook of his neck.

"It's going to be alright, Mein Freund. I'll be here, by your side" I assured him as police sirens began whirring through the city. "Direkt an Ihrer Seite" I murmured into his ear.
