An introduction is all it takes for everything to change.
(Lexi's Pov)
I was standing outside of Boltwood High in the middle of October waiting on my best friend Melody to arrive with our Starbucks.
“Lexi, I want you to meet my neighbor Brody, Brody, this is Lexi.” My friend Melody said. I smiled and waved awkwardly. Brody and I had gone to the same school for a year now, why hadn’t I ever noticed him? He gave me a cute smile and waved back. He was short, but cute, like the kind of cute you want to cuddle. His dirty blonde hair was parted perfectly down the middle.
I was brought out of my thoughts when a voice said, “Nice to meet you!” He has a voice that seems to high pitched to be his but, i liked it.
“Nice to meet you too, so how long have you known Melody?” I asked curiously.
“I’ve known her since kindergarten!” he said smiling, “But she’s been my neighbor for 4 years now.”
Suddenly a tall blond girl came up behind Brody and wrapped her arm around his shoulder. “Hey I’m Brody’s girlfriend.” The girl sneared. Okay so he has a girlfriend already.
Brody shrugged her arm off him and muttered “This is Tammy. Tammy this is Lexi, and you’ve already met Melody.”
“Whatever.” She frowned and walked away. Tammy seems interesting
“Oh don’t mind her, she’s the jealous type.” He chuckled. Did that mean Tammie was jealous of me?
"Well I'll let you two talk and I'm gonna go..." Melody yelled as she ran towards the front doors of our school.
"Wai’t come back Melody!" Me and Brody shouted.
“Sorry! I got to go home to do my homework…” she yelled back running away quickly.
Damn it Melody! Now this is really awkward I barely know this Brody guy and Melody just left me all alone with him.
“So…. what do we do now Lexi?” He asked impatiently. Just him saying my name makes me tingle.
Suddenly the warning bell rang. “Um I have to go to class see you later maybe?” I asked. Wow actually saved by the bell, I thought that only happened in movies.
“I hope to see you at lunch, bye!” He yelled as I hurried down the hallway to my next class. I forgot we had lunch together damn it. I’m going to kill Melody, at least she’ll be there to.
My next classes went by fairly quickly, and my English teacher told me I looked like I was thinking deeply. Finally the bell to end fifth period rang, and it was finally time for lunch. The hallways were really crowded, but it took me only 2 minutes to get to Melody’s locker, probably because I wanted to kill her so badly. I turned around to see her and Brody walking this way. Oh shit here goes nothing.
