Chapter 10

"Mmm...!!"

"...?!"

It took Pucca a while to notice that her lips were pressed against Garu's. The ninja's eyes widened and his face turned into cerise pink. Both of them were frozen in a kiss, becoming unable to believe what was going on. And that was when Pucca pulled away.

Garu covered his lips with the same surprised and embarrassed expression, using both of his hands to do so. He couldn't believe what just happened! Did Pucca just kiss him like that?! Not even Pucca could believe what she did. She thought she was imagining it, but no, it was a reality.

"Um..."

"S-S-S-Sorry, Garu!" Pucca apologized quickly. "I-I-I didn't mean to kiss you, really!"

"I-It's okay... nn..."

"...Hahaha..." Pucca laughed awkwardly. "Let's just go back to Goh-Rong, shall we? It's time for lunch."

"Yeah..."

It was quick for Pucca to notice the unusual ruckus that was happening inside of the restaurant. Normally, people would be happily eating their noodles, but something like a fight was happening.

A crowd of people was surrounding something that Pucca and Garu could no longer see thanks to the humungous mob. The restaurant was filled with yells and disrespectful words. Even if they asked the customers what was going on, they'd be too busy to attend to the two.

"Pucca! Garu-gun!"

Both Pucca and Garu heard their names being called, and they turned to see Jae-geun walking towards them with a concerned look. It seemed like he knew what was going on, and also knew that it was serious.

"Father, what's going on?" Pucca asked him.

"Let's go to your room upstairs." Jae-geun said. "We can talk about the issue there. You two wait for me, okay? I'll serve the noodles."

"Understood."

Pucca held Garu's hand in hers again and began walking upstairs, trying to ignore the turbulent brawl that was happening in the restaurant. But somehow, an uproar that intense is rather hard to ignore. And thinking about what was causing the turmoil felt... spine-chilling. Was someone trying to steal from the restaurant, or was it even worse than that?

When Pucca and Garu finally arrived at her room, the delivery girl immediately shut the door behind them, thus making the furious noises a little less audible. Pucca sighed. She never really expected something like this to happen in the restaurant. Things weren't going so smoothly. First Muji, and now this?

"Nn... so this is how your room looks like..." Garu said.

"Hahaha... First time here, huh?" Pucca questioned him, sitting on the bed. "Come, sit."

Smiling shyly, the young ninja sat on the bed, sitting right next to Pucca. The both of them began waiting for Jae-geun, just as he said.

"What do you think was going on downstairs?" Pucca questioned him again.

"Hmm... I don't know." Garu responded. "It's not something we see everyday."

The both of them were chatting about what they thought was going on downstairs when they heard a knock on the door. When Pucca said "come in!", the bedroom door opened, and Jae-geun was seen holding two bowls of Jjajang noodles.

"Sorry for being a bit late." Jae-geun said. "The chaos downstairs was stronger than I thought."

"Dad, what was that about?" Pucca questioned him, holding her bowl of noodles while Garu grabbed his. "Why were those people so mad?"
