The flags of Kidagu waved in the air above the watchtowers of the castle, the outer rims and walls of the castle were lined with guards; each one standing watch over the surrounding area of the castle. The wooden gates swung open suddenly as three guards charged out on foot towards both Aiya and Kinnon, their swords drawn.

"Halt, in the name of the queen!" The tree pointed their swords towards the two of them as Aiya stepped forward.

The center guard sheathed his sword immediately, "Princess Aiyana?"

"Yes, I am she." Aiya answered.

He immediately dropped to his knee, bowing, the other two following directly after him.

Aiya glanced back to Kinnon, a sadness drawing over her. So, this was the end of their journey? Part of her was comforted by being around something so familiar of castles and guards. But part of her also longed for something more; the unexpected was somewhat intriguing, rather than being in the very thing that she expected every single day of her life.

But she knew that it was not her destiny to live in the unexpected; to live away from royalty. Her destiny was to descend to the throne in Falenor, rule over her people, and make wise decisions for her people and the four lands. That was her fate.

The center guard rose to his feet, "Your highness, we received word two nights ago that your company had not arrived in Falenor. The assumption was made that it had been attacked; they sent out a search for you." He looked around her and to Kinnon. "Is he the only remaining one of your company?"

Aiya looked back to Kinnon again, "No, he is not. My company assumed dead." She answered as she looked back to the guard. "He is a bounty hunter," before she could say another word, the guard on the left stepped around and stood in between her and Kinnon. "A bounty hunter who did more than what was necessary to insure my safety."

The guard nodded.

"He is to be treated with the highest honor of respect among your people. If it were not for him, I would have already died." She said, watching as the guard stepped back around from in between the two of them.

"We will give word of your arrival to the queen. As soon as she gives the order, we will aid you in your journey to Falenor, your highness." The guard said as he bowed his head.

"Thank you."
