THREE MONTHS LATER

Here we go again, Jada thought to herself as she stared Tristan down. They'd been through this same scenario over and over, but their latest explosive argument might finally put an end to everything.

"I'm tired of your constant screw ups. I'd be better off without you," Jada snapped.

"If that's how you feel, then maybe we should go our separate ways," Tristan said.

His retort stung, but it's not like she hadn't seen it coming. She buried down the pain, looking back at him unflinchingly.

"Maybe we should," she replied.

"And CUT! Excellent job, you guys," Donnie, the director of Love and War, said to them. "I think we've got it."

At his approval, everyone hurried to prepare for the next shot. Jada gave a relieved sigh, happy that the intense scene was over. Tristan kissed her on the forehead.

"You did great. I loved the hatred in your eyes, baby," he teased her, leading her to stick her tongue out at him.

Watching them in amusement, Donnie shook his head and laughed. "Yep. The crackling tension yet obvious longing. You two are the perfect couple," he said.

"I couldn't agree more," Jada said to him, but she secretly traded a knowing look with Tristan. He returned it, winking at her in understanding.

They'd both given up on the idea of being the perfect couple a long time ago. Jada had her own flaws, and Tristan sure as hell had some too. But he was hers. She was his. For the next ten or twenty years, for forever, Jada planned to keep it that way.

*** That's it! We've reached the end of this story. I hope you've enjoyed it. If you want, you can play our final song, From the Ground Up, as commemoration of this event.

I also have a few final words about the story and my upcoming work!

First of all, I'm so thankful for everyone who has read this story. It's every writer's dream to have someone care about the words they've spent such a long time contemplating. Even as a writer, I can't fully express how meaningful this has been for me but THANK YOU. 🥰

I'm sad to part from Jada and Tristan but I also have two new stories in the works that I wanted to share with you.

ONE:

Starting in late November, I will begin posting my teen fantasy novel, The Last Dragon Shifter. I know it's different from an adult romance but it's going to be a lot of fun and I hope you guys will join me for another ride. If teen fantasy isn't your thing, I would appreciate it if you might still pass the word along to others. Pretty please! AND, also...

TWO:

For those of you who would prefer to see another romance, I do have another novel that I'm currently working on, which is....

Mikayla and Ren's love story!

Their novel is called The Bottom Line, and will debut in early 2020.

If you are interested in either of these stories, please consider following me so I can update you on these projects as new things develop. In the meantime, I have put up "Coming Soon" covers for both of these projects. That way if you choose to add them to your reading list(s), you will be in the know the second new chapters are up for these books.

FINALLY, as a little teaser of things to come, the very LAST post in this story is an excerpt about Mikayla and Ren. The moment that sparked it all! So, read on and tell me what you think.

Much Love 💕,

Ashley
