Flying high

39 5 0

The shape of feathered creatures
Reflects from
Oceanic veil
Black wings of liberty contain
The very feature
Of stretch that seems to be
So frail.

They fly...They are the messengers
From heaven
That human can be free and feel alive
Yet our busy world and thoughts just try
To deafen us
From giving it a go...
We trying to survive.

Your doubters here are birds
With tight-up wings
That long so bad
To find the way
They hope in cage, to make you feel a twinge
And urging all the time
That "flying isn't good at all,

And here it is
Much-needed Freedom.
That waits for you
At borders in the sky
And you can ask
"What if i fall?"
But darling,
What if you spread your wings
And fly?
