A lost Phantomhive?! Chapter 2
The ride lasted for about an hour before the carriage had come to a sudden halt. I stayed silent as I heard footsteps coming closer to the door of the carriage. I had the drapes in the carriage closed over the windows so it was very dark. I liked it that way. The only reason I had it like that at the time was because for some reason I felt tired and the sunlight was too harsh so I decided to make it dark.
The door opened and my attention was bought to a very handsome smile and a hand that helped me out of the carriage.
"Is this the mansion." I said my voice was wavering.
This was my parents former house that was burned in the fire... It looked almost exactly the same as how it did three years ago. My face wore a scared expression while we were walking up to the big doors of the mansion.
"Welcome to your new home" Sebastian said before opening the doors and gently pushing me inside.
It looks exactly as it did three years ago inside as well as outside. My throat started to pound as I was trying to hold back the tears that were about to flow. From the smell to the floor boards, it was all the same. It was nostalgic but also painful for me to just stand in the hall way.
Sebastian patted my back as if to tell me it was ok, it was like he knew I was scared and pained just by looking at me.
"Are you alright miss?" he asked with a worried look on his face.
He looked as if he genuinely cared, but I didn't want to trouble him with my childish fears so I just decided to tell him I was fine and continued around the mansion to see if anything had changed since I was last here.
"Oh, yes and Sebastian" I decided to change the conversation to make this atmosphere a little less tense.
"Call me Aria. Just Aria". I stated as I turned around to face him. My face felt hot but I still held my gaze on him. He just simply smiled at me and continued walking.
I started to think that maybe the person who lives here just liked how the manor looked before hand and decided to try and make it look exactly the same as it did before. But even though I was thinking this, it still kinda freaked me out. I don't remember many, if not any, people who used to come too the manor, and if someone really did like the way it looked then they must've visited a lot so they could know how it looked.
I walked to about the bottom of the steps before Sebastian came to a halt, and because I wasn't paying attention I accidentally bumped into him causing me to fall backwards. I waited the impact of the fall but instead I suddenly felt two strong arms around my waist.
"Please do be careful miss" Sebastian whispered as I felt his warm breath on my neck.
I jumped and pushed him away before walking backwards a few steps then bowing my head.
"I-I'm so sorry!" I exclaimed.
I turned around to face her when I see she's bowing her head and apologizing to me. I was puzzled for a second before realizing what she was apologizing for. A smile spread across my face. She really is quite an interesting human. From how she has reacted to me so far it seems she is one to be embarrassed easily. This will be fun.
"there is no reason to be so far away Aria" I called her name in a sweet voice which made her face glow a crimson red. This amused me as I slowly walked closer to her I grabbed her by the waist before pulling her closer to my body.
"Watch outAria" I stated before three people came running in tripping over each other and coming to a stop when they noticed me standing there. Dammed servants. I glared at them before turning back to Aria who had a confused look on her face as she saw the three servants.
"She's new here, she is!"
"Is she new here?"
They all asked in unison. I sighed before letting her go to face them, but then I realised I hadn't yet told her something important that she needed to know. I turned to whisper in her ear before she flinched away. She shouldn't have done that.
His warm breath on the side of my face made me flinch. I tried to make it so he wouldn't notice, but the grin on his face made me think otherwise. Before I could turn to the three people staring at me to introduce myself, I was spun around and suddenly felt a hand on my chin. Holding up my face to see Sebastian's only a few centimetres away from mine.
"Miss Aria here needs her rest, any questions you lot may have can be asked later when she is feeling better" he stated, and before I could reply he started pushing me up the stairs leaving the others speechless and leaving myself speechless too.
We were walking down the corridor for what seemed like ages before we reached a room and we came to stop. He stepped in front of me and pushed the door open. I walked in with him behind me keeping the door open.
I was amazed. As I walked into the room and saw it lit up with the light coming from the large window across from me. A bed with four grand bed post and shiny red laced curtains hang down from the top. Wooden oak furniture surrounds the room from wooden wardrobes to wooden side tables.
I walked around the room trying to explore it all before I stopped dead in my tracks.
"This is..." my voice was shaky and a look of pure fear spread over my face.
This is my room..
My body started to tremble. Did they know this is my room? Or is it just pure coincidence? I was thinking this over and over again before turning around to face Sebastian who was standing patiently in the doorway.
"Is something wrong?" he asked as he started walking towards me.
"Um, every-thing is fine, aha. Um, is this my r-room?" I questioned before matching his footsteps while walking backwards.
He stopped and made a 'well isn't it obvious' face. This angered me a little but I tried not to show it. I just giggled. He looked a little confused by my sudden outburst of laughter before having a smile of his own on his face.
"Haha, what are we-" ugh. W-what the hell was that? There was a sudden pain in my chest, and it felt as if my heart was about to explode! What the hell?! I looked down at my chest and saw a puddle of blood on my clothes and it slowly trickling down my arm as drops fell onto the floor.
I fell to one knee and tried to steady myself with the other. I was grasping onto my bloodied clothes and when I looked up, I saw Sebastian walking over to me.
"My, my Miss Aria, it seems your wound has opened up" his voice sounded as a whisper.
I fell onto the floor and started panting like mad, before my eyes stated to feel heavier like lead. They started to drift close and I was loosing consciousness....
"Goodnight, the other Phantomhive..."
