That was like, the 7th bowl of noodles that Pucca had finished. After watching over the village for a thousand years, she had begun craving for Jae-geun's famous Jjajang noodles that were known throughout Sooga. And now she was finally getting the taste of the noodles in her mouth.
Even though Jae-geun was the one who made the recipe, the ones who are actually cooking it are his brothers. That's most likely the reason why they can cook the noodles in less than five minutes. Teamwork always manages to win by the end of the day.
"You sure have a strong appetite." Jae-geun said to her. "Another bowl, please!"
"Thank you, Jae-geun-oppa." Pucca responded. "Really. It means a lot to me."
"Don't sweat it, Pucca-ya. It is my hobby to help people in need."
"Why don't you make a restaurant? I bet you'll make tons of money!"
"W-What?"
Jae-geun suddenly began scratching the back of his head in an awkward manner. Pucca knew that multiple people have requested him to make a restaurant. However, for some reason, Jae-geun has always refused their offer embarrassingly. Since he always keeps his thoughts inside his head, Pucca doesn't know why.
"I-I can't do that, Pucca-ya." Jae-geun replied. "At least not now."
"Why not?" Pucca asked him.
Jae-geun took a deep breath, and then he spoke out. "I'm scared. Creating a restaurant takes a lot of effort. You need to buy chairs, tables, and create a building. And then there's the fact if the restaurant isn't popular, it'll get closed down. That'll put all the effort you put into it to waste."
"But your noodles are very popular throughout the village, right? And you said that people always have requests for you to open a restaurant. That's why I refuse to believe that it won't be popular. I bet every single one of them will come!"
"I did plan to have a restaurant at first. I tried getting in contact with other people, though. Their names were Tex Lugie and Sloppy Sue. They said that... well, you can guess, right?"
"........."
Pucca could remember that event as well. Jae-geun wanted to make sure that it was okay to open up a restaurant, and when two people from another country came to Sooga Village—Tex Lugie and Sloppy Sue—he asked if his noodles were okay. The couple immediately scorned him, though, and said that not even Brise would like his food.
The villagers, noticing their disrespect, made some sort of revolution to force them out of the village. Eventually, they became scared of the villagers and ran away. These two were the first mean people Pucca had ever encountered.
And because of that, Pucca believed that insulting others and discriminating them the way the couple did to Jae-geun was the worst thing a person could do. She's not aware of all the cruelties the world has to offer, at least not yet. And for another thing, she held negative feelings for that couple.
"You shouldn't listen to those two." Pucca said. "I bet their food tastes like trash."
"Hahaha. You know, for a six year old girl, you're epic at roasting." Jae-geun said.
"I have no problem saying it to their face. After all, it's what they deserve. It's called justice."
"Justice" is one of the many things that Master Soo had taught Pucca. He said that those who do wrong deserve to be punished, which is known as 'justice'. But Pucca assumes that justice is insulting someone when that person insults you or someone you care for.
