A new story, what shock. I'm sorry I can't just finish one story and not start five more. But I really like how this one is going so here it is. And I've decided I will add a cast, something I don't do. It helped me picture this story better so maybe will for you guys. Hope you guys like it. Comment to let me know.
Pop-tarts and the anit-social
I hated not being able to sleep, not being able to close my eyes and not think of anything. I hadn't slept at all last night, I've been up staring out my window. My door opened slowly until my aunt came into view. I must have been mumbling to myself, by the way my aunt was looking at me. A worried expression filled her face, mixed with sympathy making me sigh. She hadn't said a word yet and I mentally cursed myself for letting my mind wander.
My aunt opened her mouth to say something but I spoke before she could. "Thanks for knocking, Aunt Charlotte." I said with fake glare before chuckling, getting up and walking past her. "Are you making breakfast today?" I asked happily.
My aunt sighed, but turned and gave me a sad smile. "Of course, but I'll have to leave so it'll be in the microwave for you."
"Thanks." I smiled before walking out and into the hallway bathroom. Looking at my appearance in the mirror I wondered if it was time that I take out my small ear plugs and lip piercing. I loved them, sure, but I was getting older and as much as I didn't want to admit it, the way people view me hits hard.
Ignoring the thought for now, I took a quick shower, trying to wash away my thoughts knowing it would do no good. With a sigh, I got out of the shower, wrapping a towel around my waist. Shaking the water out of my black naturally messy hair, I walked out of the bathroom and back to my own room.
As I slipped on a pair of boxers I heard my aunt call my name. "I'm leaving for work and I'll be working late, so I should be home after midnight." She said. After a pause I expected to hear the door shut but nothing came. I sighed, realizing she was waiting for me to say something back.
"Okay, bye Aunt Charlotte." I called back.
When I finally heard the front door close I slipped on a pair of black skinny jeans and a striped black and white sweater that may be slightly large on my body. As I sat on my desk chair I grabbed my slip on white vans before sliding over to the window. I could see my aunt leave the apartment building, heading towards her car. Looking around my room I found my backpack and quickly grabbed it, along with a black beanie. With my shoes and beanie on I left my room and went into the kitchen, taking the plate of eggs and toast out of the microwave.
As I took a seat at the counter I felt my back pocket vibrate, making me reach behind me and take out my phone. I smiled at my phone reading over the text, then realizing I had also received some earlier. All from the same person.
'Outside, dude. Hurry up!'
'Wait...can you bring me some pop tarts.'
'I really want some pop tarts.'
'Being your best friend and all I think there should be, you know, rewards.'
