I hoped for light, it never came
And thought I’d never see
The morning sun, the grazing fawn;
And warmth I longed to have.
But ever since the light was out
I knew to lurk the dark
And once to care, for light be out:
To hope and pray it will.
But darkness taught me how to live
To see another day;
To hope that day, would future come
Will come embrace me more.
