I don't know why the hell Marcus keep calling and texting me. Besides the missed call from my mom, Marcus' number was missed repeatedly. Can he catch a hint! damn!

I returned the call from my mom. I really needed her advice.

"Hey ma."

"Hey baby, I called last night to check on you but you didn't answer. how you doing?

"Not too good. Its Marcus. He's seeing another woman and I don't know what too do."

"I'm sorry to hear that baby but everything is gonna be alright. Marcus is a fool if he choose another woman over you. He doesn't realize how good he has it at home. I remember when your father stepped out on me.."

"You never told me dad cheated ma. What did you do?"

"Well honey, Ima be honest with you. When your father cheated and I found out, I followed him to the woman's house beat the shit out of his car and her car and then I walked in the house while they were in mid action and threw hot water on them."

"Are you serious!"

"Yes ma'ma. They wanted to act like dogs in heat so I brought the damn fire."

"So you saying that burn mark on dad's side, is from you?"

"Yeah and he got away lucky cause that's the only spot he got burned. He jumped out the way when he saw me out the corner of his eye. His mistress got it bad though. Till this day he hasn't cheated and ya know why? cause ya mama crazy."

"Well I don't think I could do that ma."

"And I wouldn't want you to Lauren baby. I want you to do better than I did. Ya mama almost got life behind that shit, talm bout attempted murder. Listen honey, take a breather and go buy yourself a journal and in that journal, I want you to write about the way you feel about what's going on around you. Soon you'll realize what you should do by writing down your feelings and rereading them."

"I really apreciate your advice ma. It means so much."

"Anytime baby. Talk to you later. I love you."

"Love you too. Bye."

I stared in the mirror on the bedroom wall, staring at my reflection. I was so confused about what I should do.

"Lauren! Come here for a minute." Stacy yelled.

I walked from the bedroom to see what Stacy wanted.

"What's up?"

"What are you doing today?"

"I was planning on going to the house but I really don't want to deal with Marcus, that's if he comes back, so I think I just want to stay away for a while."

"Well you know my brother is coming and he's going to be staying for a while and.."

"I don't want to take up the room if he needs it Stace so I'll just get a hotel for awhile, its no big deal."

"Gurl!, now you know damn well I'm not about to kick you to the curve at a time like this. I aught to slap the shit out of you for thinking that."

"I know Stace but I'm just saying."

"We can share my bed, its big enough. It'll be like the old days when we shared beds in college or when we were in highschool spending the night over each others house."

"Aight then, I'm down but I got to go out to grab a few things."

"Alright, bring me something back."

I grabbed my keys from the table and headed for my car. It was 2:00 in the afternoon and I needed some retail therapy.
