Hikaru Hitachiin is a rich 15-year-old Boy who goes to prestigious Ouran Academy -a fictitious high school located in Bunkyo, Tokyo- together with his twin brother Kaoru Hitachiin.
In the Third Music Room, a place where the Ouran Academy's Host Club, a group of six male students, gathers to entertain female "clients.", The Twins selling point is 'Brotherly Love'.. As Hikaru Has the most popular friends, and is determined to win the heart of Haruhi Fujioka.
Ouran Elite Academy encompasses pre-school through high school and has an attached university program. Most students come from elite families, but a scholarship is annually awarded to the top scorer on a rigorous entrance examination. Dylan is such a student for her grade level. The school's unofficial motto is "Lineage counts first, wealth a close second," meaning students with stellar family backgrounds but low socioeconomic status may be given top priority over those from rich families with lesser pedigrees.
Dylan Evans is an aspiring film geek who lives in America. She is also the president of the school's dorky Film Club. She wants to make a documentary for the Ouran Sound Film Festival, and decides to give herself a challenge. Her new topic: The Host Club and It's Popularity. Her subject: The Host Club Members. Tamaki Suoh, the president of the club, delighted to be in a movie. As Hikaru takes the opportunity; believing with that movie, Fujioka will fall for him.. However, this leads to Dylan "firing" the Twins, for always messing up and pulling pranks.
