Follow Me

The waves crash upon the shore,

For once, for now and evermore.

Stepping into the sea,

Said he, "follow me."

Electricity flows through veins

Of lost children born from pain.

Stepping into the sea,

Last of all me.

Scenes of vivid red and blue;

Standing on the shore still, you.

Stepping into the sea,

"Not I, not me." said thee.

Loving phrases carved in stone,

The everlasting rest of bones.

Yet on one gravestone, that is mine

Reads a poem as old as time:

"Remember man as you pass by,

As you are now so once was I,

As I am now you soon will be,

Prepare for death and

Follow me."
