Chapter Ten

With the table set, the roast chicken in the oven and vegetable on low on top of the stove, I grab a glass of soft drink and sit down on the lounge. Shaun enters the room, hair wet and towel in hand, just finishing his shower. He had on a pair of jeans and only a pair of jeans. My mouth waters at the sight of his bare chest, sculpted like a God.

"I think you're salivating a bit," he smirks, running the towel through his wet hair. I roll my eyes, my cheeks go red and I take a sip from my drink to try to hide it. He laughs and then comes and sits down next to me.

"You should put a shirt on before Nate gets here," I turn to him. He looks down at me.

"Why? You don't want him to feel bad that I've got a better body than him?" He jokes but I don't laugh. There's a knock on the door and I look at the door and then back up at him. He groans and then goes to stand up.

"Ugh fine." He walks into the bedroom as I get up and open the door to reveal Nate standing there, hands in his pockets as always and looking good. He's wearing a pair of black jeans and a tight white t-shirt which clings to his body with a blue plaid shirt on top. He smiles at me when he sees me.

"Hey, come in," I say, stepping to the side to let him pass. He smiles and walks in and gives me a quick hug before he sees Shaun standing in the doorway to the living room, arms crossed.

"Shaun," Nate acknowledges him and nods his head as a hello. Shaun doesn't make any moves to be friendly and we're all standing there awkwardly in the the entryway to my apartment. These boys were never going to get along.

"Well okay, lets move into the living room, sit down. Do you want something to drink Nate?" I ask, breaking the silence and pushing them both into the living room. Nate sits down at the set table and nods.

"We've got beer, wine, soft drink, water, take your pick," I list the drinks I can remember.

"Just a beer thanks." He looks nervous.

"Okay, I'll be right back, I'll grab your drink and check on dinner, it should be ready soon," I tell Shaun and Nate, starting to walk into the kitchen. I stop in front of Shaun and look up at him.

"Be nice."
