"Since the host of the event is my mum's friend and she's chosen the music for the dances, I managed to find out what music she'll be playing throughout the dance and I think we can try practicing on one since no offence but I'm not gonna dance the entire night. I'm going there to stuff my mouth with food," I tell Dylan who gives me an amused smile.

"I expected the food part from you," he says.

"We all did," Zack says with an equally amused grin.
I asked Dylan to the dance but I felt guilty going without the whole squad. I mean, before, it used to be just me and Alex, two best friends, both of them forced to attend the dance. But now with Dylan, I seriously wanna go.

I shrug, "it's not my fault. The food there is amazing." When I extended the invitation to the other boys, they all declined and said something similar to 'you guys enjoy your date' even though it's not a date. Whatever.
Either way, since it's Sunday and we are all very bored teenagers, we all decided to meet up at my place for no reason although originally, Dylan and I were just gonna be practicing but I got a little too lazy after talking.

Oh and let's not forget the part when the boys arrived, one by one, my dad (the real one) just had to interview them, excluding Alex since he knows Alex has been attached to me since childhood and vice versa although it's quite tense between us right now. But when Dad came to know about Dylan and my mutual liking of one another, he went ahead and asked him way too many questions which irked me a little. But we all laughed about it later. Especially because Dylan seemed so uncomfortable under my dad's stony gaze.

When we were done with the interrogations, I lead the squad upstairs to my room and explained about what the event is and told Dylan about the music too.

Alex suddenly snickers. "Did you tell them about the time you decided to take Cameron as your date? If I remember clearly, it was last year." Oh yeah, I tripped over my own dress, managed to spill someone else's drink on them and myself and then, in the same goddamn night, I spent fifteen minutes in the bathroom, throwing up because I suddenly got very nauseous after the dinner. So yeah, that's my life.

I groan, "we don't speak of that unless we tell them about what happened when you took Jenelle out for your first date."

"I keep forgetting that Alex and Jenelle dated," Zack mutters and Josh nods in agreement.
