Clementine had gotten used to living with James, he was a sweet guy. James had opened up more and spoke more freely, Clementine was glad that he had warmed up to her. She also felt more comfortable with him, so she told him about the Violet situation, in the process he mentioned having a boyfriend that moved away when he was younger. Surprisingly the two have a lot in common, but Clementine still misses having Violet as a roommate.

"Have you talked to her yet?" James asks just as Clementine walks into her room.

"Hello to you too," Clementine throws her things on her bed.

"Oh! Uh— excuse me, yes hello," James rubs the back of his neck as if he were embarrassed. Clementine chuckles lightly and placed herself into her bed, her smile soon fades "no, I haven't."

"She doesn't hate you," James responds.

Clementine felt that sink in, it gave her butterflies as she heard those words. "I hope so," She falls onto her bed, "it's just...I regret yelling at her and practically telling her she wasn't faithful, she's been through a lot."

"I can tell, don't let her drift away."

"I won't."

"Goddamnit Vi, is it that hard to clean up after yourself?" Ruby growls picking up Violet's bag and shoes, chucking them onto her side of the room.

"What's the point? You always do it for me," Violet smirks cheekily. Ruby rolls her eyes, soon throwing a book at Violet, trying to suppress the rest of her anger.

"Where you like this with your old roommate?" Ruby folds her arms.

"Yeah, but she cared less," Violet shrugs.

"You two really need to make up, you can't go on like this forever. It's been almost a month Vi."

"She's probably making out with her new roommate anyways. She won't even notice me."

"Violet, I know you're scared but you need to talk to her. What you two have is special, and you can't just give it up that easily."

Violet pauses for a moment "finnnnnnne," she says extending the n sound.

"Good, best you do it now."

"I saw her playing baseball with Marlon and that earlier."

"Fine, I'll go," Violet sighs, slipping on her shoes and walking out the door.

Clementine swings her bat around to hit the ball, soon missing another shot.
"C'mon Clem! Up your game, you'll need it for tonight," Marlon calls out before chucking another baseball her way.
Clementine misses once again, not noticing Violet approach her as she grumbled angrily to herself.

"Clem, can we talk?" Violet speaks up, startling the other girl slightly.

"Huh?" The brunette perks up and just before she could turn to Violet the ball crashes into her face, giving her a blood nose.

"Goddamnit, Marlon!" Brody growls, face palming before rushing over to Clementine.

"Are you okay? I'll get some tissues," Brody tells Clementine before jogging off.

Clementine presses her fist against her nose "what is it?"

"Clementine, this was all a big misunderstanding, I just got upset and then I was too scared and angry to talk to you I-" Violet is soon cut off by Clementine's words.

"What do you mean a misunderstanding?"

"Minnie she wasn't acting normal, she wanted me to move to Delta with her— but I said no of course because I didn't want to leave you. I'm sorry I should of said it sooner..."

Clementine remains silent, staring into Violet's eyes.
"I'm sorry too, I overreacted and...I shouldn't of said those things to you," Clementine pulls Violet into a tight hug, letting the blood drip down her nose.

"I brought tissues!" Brody says before immediately stopping as she notices the two "Sorry did I ruin the moment?"

"Only a little," Violet smiles softly, pulling away from Clementine.

The brunette turns back to see if Marlon was still standing there but he had left.
"I'll catch up with you two later, I just have to check something out," Clementine takes the tissues from Brody's extended hand before beginning the search for Marlon. Clementine explores most parts of the area leaving the equipment shed for last. The crash that could be heard from the shed drew Clementine in. She pulls open the door and slowly and quietly steps inside. Marlon was on the phone, trying to talk softly to the person on the other end.
"Yeah, yeah I know—" he pauses for a brief moment "yes she's playing today's game." He continues to mutter to the person on the phone, in the meantime Clementine sneaks a little closer so she can hear what they are saying more clearly.
"I've already tried that. She's too good, she—" he pauses once again "look, I'll find a way, okay? Delta win again."
Clementine knew what was going on as soon as the word Delta was mentioned.
"Who were you talking to?" Clementine confronts Marlon, stepping out of the darkness.
He fumbles to put his phone back in his pocket, "no one. What the hell are you doing here anyways?"

"I'd ask you same thing."

"Look, Clem—"

"What did you mean by 'Delta will win again'?"

"Do you ever mind your own damn business?"

"Not if involves my baseball team. You were tampering with the equipment weren't you?"

"Fine, you got me. I stole your bat and replaced it with a shitter one, I sent Minvera it go after Violet so you'd be distracted—"

"You did this? I can't believe you!"

"Neither will the rest of the team," Marlon says before rushing out the shed door, locking it behind him.

Clementine slams her arms against the door "Marlon, you shithead!" She shouts, banging against the door. She notices that the hinges on the door were rather weak, weak enough for it to be kicked down. She backs up and then rams into the door, causing it to fall to the ground with a crash. Marlon was still speed walking away from the shed, so Clementine quickly sprints after Marlon, grabbing his arm from behind. Marlon pushes Clementine away, causing her to stumble back "I won't let you get away with this," she growl.
"No ones gonna believe you!" He hisses, narrowing his eyes at the girl.
"Woah, woah, calm down. What's going on here?" Louis places himself between the two, the rest of the group surrounding the three.
"He's been working with Delta! He's set up wins for them!" Clementine blurts out.
"Seriously dude?" Louis looks at Marlon in shock.
Everyone shares a surprise look, except for Brody who sighs and looks down at her shoes.

"Louis! You don't believe her, right? You barely know her," Marlon argues.

"Marlon, I-" Louis's face turns glum.

"What the hell, man? You'd seriously fuck over our team?" Mitch speaks up.

"They were going to send you away!" Marlon shouts, "Louis, Mitch, Brody, your records are bad enough to send you to Delta Academy. You three aren't the only ones, there's many who could be sent there. But their coach offered me a deal, if I get them to win against Ericson's, you'd all be off the hook."

Louis slowly approaches Marlon, he places a hand on Marlon's shoulder "Thank you, but... sabotaging our team isn't the way to go."

"Let me make it up to you! I'll— i'll-" Marlon stutters.

"We'll handle things with the headmaster." Louis turns back to the rest of the group. Clementine nods in response.

Only 1 or 2 chapters before this book will end, sadly. I'm working on another book so if you're interested in my stuff I'd recommend checking it out when I publish it :))
