1) Don't try to decode the symbol given in the chapter "Knowledge is Suffering", you will end up wasting your time. Believe me. but still if you want to give it a try, do comment.
2) Subtle hints are given in the story as to what could happen and who is the individual responsible for the recent mishaps and the narrator's mental disturbance.
3) Now to find those subtle hints i would like to say only one thing: ( try reading in between the lines)
"The closer you look the less you see."
