Chapter 2 Preparations for the First of Many

"For a minute I thought I wasn't gonna make it! I'm gonna go get myself ready for the big day, the bathroom is all yours!"

Arthur said as he walked off to his room, Ken waved bye to him and then walked inside the bathroom. The bathroom was a mess, there was some vines growing from the ceiling of the bathroom and a giant piece of glass that is acting as a mirror. He faced the mirror and noticed that he looked like a mess himself, slight signs of bags under his eyes and his hair looks like a bed of grass that hasn't been taken care of for a month. He looked down to the sink and turned on the faucet, luckily enough the sink seemed to be working along with some clean water.

Ken dives down his face in the sink, washing his face then grabs a rag that was next to the sink and rubs it against his face. He throws the rag back next to the sink, his clear blue eyes having more of a shine. But then he noticed his hands were shaking slightly, he had stayed in this home for his whole entire life with his siblings and now they're gonna leave to have a better life.

"Everything is gonna be alright, we're gonna pass this test and we're gonna have a better life and a better home!"

Ken said to the mirror, trying to reassure himself. But he was gonna miss this old decaying cabin, even though this cabin looks like it wouldn't last a year or two without proper care but it was filled with some good memories. Ken then started to clean up his hair, once he finished it looked like a messy chopped up version of a modern quiff hairstyle.

"Now time to get out there"

Ken walked out of the bathroom then walked towards a door that leads to the outside. Once he walked outside, he noticed blossoming petals that are flying through the tall bamboo sticks that surrounds the cabin. He looked to the side to see a small crowd of people, three of them are Kai, Arthur, and Roman. He ran other to them and waved at them

"Hey good morning guys! Sorry for being late"

Ken said as a long pink haired girl turned to see Ken, the girl lets out a pout as she crossed her arms.

"Well finally there you are, you're lucky that Po'Tchari hasn't gotten ready yet"

The girl said, nagging at Ken but her words doesn't seem to be reaching him. The girl is wearing a ragged wizard robe that had symbols that run from the chest area down. The robe is sleeveless but she was wearing a black shirt under her along with a pair of straight pants under her robe.

"I know I know Kassy, but come on let's be happy! Today we're gonna have our chance to experience the big life in the kingdom"

Ken said, trying to stay positive but inside him he was nervous about going to a kingdom but he didn't want to worry his siblings. Kassy lets out a sigh as she walked back to the others

"You're happy that I'm in a good mood! If this was any other day I would've snitched you right away!"

She said as Ken lets out a sigh of relief, he then looked over to see the others. Kody, he was the brawny of the bunch but he wasn't quite the smartest out of the group. Kashi, even though he's one of the most youngest of the siblings he is far more wise than Ken and Kai. Asher, the coolest of the siblings but is mostly emotionless.

The sound of footsteps can be heard from the entrance of the cabin, causing the eight to shuffle against each other and making a straight disciplined line. From the cabin is Po'Tchari, the Panda man with a fashioned straw hat that has a green feather on top of the hat, he has soft garments that has symbols on it that symbolizes jade stones with a Ying & Yang symbol on the back, and against his shoulders was a long bamboo stick that was cut down from the forest that is stabbing through a cap of a large gourd bottle.
