Loneliness

Loneliness has been my best friend for as long as I could remember

but sense then, new people have come into my life

so loneliness will have to get used to them

because loneliness is clingy

She's there when nobody else is

but now other people are replacing her

so she's getting a bit jealous

and soon she'll be upfront about it

for now, though, she stays in the shadows

cause that's all she is

a shadow of who I once was
