“Okay,” Angel said, hopping in front of Aryanna. “Let’s go over the plan one more time.” Aryanna rolled her eyes and walked past Angel. They were in the parking lot of their school heading towards the main doors. After quite a long time, they agreed on a plan.
“This is serious!” Angel yelled. “We must be prepared or everything can go wrong!” Aryanna snorted.
Looking at Angel she replied, “I don’t know how more prepared we can be. You’ve gone over the plan at least 25 times…an hour.”
Angel giggled. “I was just making sure you knew!” They finally walked through the doors and immediately, they scanned the hallway for the two people necessary for their plan to go into action. As if by cue, Ashton appeared behind Angel and Aryanna.
"Hello my princesses!" Ashton yelled. They turned to look at him, both with smirks on their faces. Ashton being the kind of person he was, didn't think anything was wrong. He simply stood their smiling as if there was no bad in the world.
"Just the person we were looking for!" Aryanna said. Ashton thought of that as a good thing and his smile grew wider. Angel looked around for the last person needed for their plan to begin. Adeline. A couple minutes later, she spotted Adeline walking toward them. Nudging Aryanna, they smirked.
"What's the plan?" Aryanna asked Angel. They recently found out who Cinderella was and Adeline definitely didn't posess the personality that the fairytale Cinderella had. She was mean, stuck up, and pure evil.
"Well," Angel answered. "She obviously wants something and Adeline's always been someone who absolutely adores attention but there's also something else. If she just wanted attention she would have faked falling down the stairs." Then Aryanna remembered something.
"The ball!" Aryanna screamed. "Remember how she didn't dance with anyone except..."
"Ashton. She wants Ashton..." Angel smirked. "Too bad she's not going to get him."
~End of Flashback~
"Oh, Adeline!" Aryanna yelled. Adeline turned to them confused. Putting on her best fake smile, she walked over. Quickly, Aryanna looped her arm around Ashton's making Adeline frown.
Adeline looked at them and said, "Ashton! Aryanna...and um....you are?" She looked at Angel in disgust.
Angel gave her a small hug and whispered to her, "Your worst nightmare." Then she chuckled. Adeline frowned and rolled her eyes.
"So Ashton," Adeline smiled sweetly at him. "What was your first impression of Cinderella at the ball?"
"She was perfect, amazing, and I just couldn't get her out of my head," Ashton smiled at Aryanna.
"Aw," Aryanna said. "Thank you!" Giving Ashton a hug, she glanced at Adeline to see her scowling. Angel began to giggle.
"Aren't they adorable?" Angel whipered loud enough for Adeline to hear.
Adeline clenched her jaw and hissed, "Yeah. Just....adorable."
Aryanna closed her locker only to find a very furious Adeline behind it. Aryanna rolled her eyes and began to walk away from her. Until Adeline -very forcefully- pulled Aryanna back. Since the pull was so hard, Aryanna ended up slamming against the lockers.
Scowling Adeline hissed at Aryanna. "You and I both know that you aren't Cinderella so stop being a little brat and find your own man. Do you understand me or do I need to spell that out for you?"
Aryanna laughed bitterly at her. "It's not my fault Ashton thinks I'm you. Then again, if Ashton found out who the real Cinderella was, he'd probably scream and not of joy. Plus what kind of low life human being would fall for you? You're like the devil but in high heels and a dress."
"Remember that little sign on your house? The 'For Sale' sign? Your house is in the palm of my hands. I can take it away whenever I want."
"I have 3 words for you Adeline. I. Have. Ashton." Aryanna stepped closer to Adeline with a smirk on her face. "And there's nothing you can do about it. You want to play this way? Bring. It. On." Unable to contain her fury, Adeline pushed her.
"What the heck is going on?" Angel yelled walking over to Aryanna and Adeline. Behind her, Darryl and Ashton followed.
For one second, Adeline's eyes glowed and she smirked. "Nothing." Then she calmly walked away. but not before whispering to Aryanna, "This isn't over. I always win."
Angel watched her walk away and looked at Aryanna confused. "I'm not even going to ask."
"It's better if you didn't," Aryanna answered. "You just need to know that as of right now, we're at war and Adeline is not going to win." Angel laughed and nodded. Darryl and Ashton watched them laugh, eyebrows raised.
Adeline tilted her head, confused. She was staring at her locker, a CD was taped to it with one word repetedly written on it. RIOT. She opened the CD and found out it was a Paramore CD. A little yellow post-it note was inside. It read: Play #1 (:
Curiosity got the best of her so she snuck into the music room and popped the CD into the boom box. Immediately, loud music filled the room and Adeline listened carefully to the lyrics.
I'm in the business of misery,
Let's take it from the top.
She's got a body like an hourglass, it's ticking like a clock.
It's a matter of time before we all run out,
When I thought he was mine she caught him by the mouth.
Confused, Adeline continued to listen. It wasn't until the chorus where she understood why the note said to listen to the song.
Whoa, i never meant to brag.
But I got him where I want him now.
Whoa, it was never my intention to brag
To steal it all away from you now.
But God does it feel so good,
Cause I got him where I want him now.
And if you could then you know you would.
'Cause God it just feels so...
It just feels so good.
At the end of the song, Adeline was furious. "Aryanna, you have no idea how scary I can be."
