23. A Tale of Two Friends

Once two classmates
Totally different from one another
Sat together by fate.
One lived
in the sea of tranquility.
For the other,
storm was her home.
Silence is golden,
one would say.
Silence is boredom,
the other would say.
One sat in the corner.
Other was always the centre of attention.
One hated the other,
Her rowdiness was the reason.
Yet slowly, slowly
They came to know
each other.
And before they even knew it
Their happiness began to lay
in one another.
Call it fate or God's will,
But somehow
the two opposite souls became friends for life.
They became friends for
forever.

A/N: This is dedicated to my best friend who has been with me since my fourth grade. If she hadn't been in my life, I don't think I would ever have the opportunity to write this poem.
