Chapter Twenty Nine: Things You Don't Usually Know About

Lottie's Point of View

I walked across the kitchen into the dining room and placed the mug in front of Alex, giving it a final stir and then removing the tea spoon. She immediately wrapped her hands around it, her fingers resting around the handle. I sighed and walked back to the kitchen. Lupin had brought us back to headquarters under Dumbledore's orders, but I presume it wasn't going to remain headquarters now Sirius isn't about,

"Are they okay?" Lupin was straight onto Mrs Weasley as she entered the kitchen. He had been leaning against the draining board,

"They're all asleep at the minute." Mrs Weasley said,

"Mer-- We said not to let them, Molly." Lupin snapped. She cowered a little and then stood up straight, puffing out her chest slightly,

"Well, they were all completely traumatised, half an hour will not hurt them."

"Okay, let's chill." I mumbled under my breath,

"WH-- ... I'm not in the mood."

"It's alright, buddy." I nodded at Alex. She raised her mug,

"Yeah, sorry Molly. I just ..."

"I completely understand, Remus." Mrs Weasley nodded at him and then wandered off to the dining room table,

"Are you sure you don't want a tea, Dad?"

"I could just ... Put this teaspoon down your throat, and then you'd choked and you'd be dead." He said, picking up the teaspoon I'd left next to the kettle,

"Okay, that was quite murderous." I reached forward and took the cutlery off him, placing it in the washing up bowl. I then clambered onto the counter next to where Lupin was now leaning, "I only offered you a tea."

"You went to London ... On a Thestral ... To fetch a person ... From You Know Who." He said, his eyes getting slightly wider with each pause. I itched one foot with the other,

"Well, when you put it like that ..."

"What a ridiculously stupid thing to do." He rolled his eyes, then turned to the cupboard,

"I was only trying to look after Harry, like you lot said to. I was literally doing as I'd been told, you can not tell me off for doing that."

"I'm your dad, I can do what I want." Lupin was now hunting through the cupboards,

"I know. Look, I'm sorry Dad. Really. I didn't mean to, well I did but ... I didn't-- I know this isn't the idle situation." I was swinging my legs slightly, "I was only trying to keep an eye on my brother. I didn't even want to come to London! Like, at all! Alex, tell him how I didn't want to come to London."

"She was pretty much desperate to come." Alex said as she began leaning back on her chair,

"Bullshit!"

"I said no, but Lottie begged me and I couldn't say no to her then." Alex kept swinging on two of the chair's legs and kept up her lying,

"Obviously it was a bad idea to ask her. Dad, honestly, I did not want to come here. I was literally trying to do what was right by Harry, and he wasn't having any of it and--"

"Lottie, it's okay."

"I didn't know what to do and I just panicked and Alex is just ... Well, she's Alex and she manipulated me and--"
