I see you standing, with your arm around her
And I wonder what went wrong that broke us apart
Your smile around her speaks more than you ever did
Maybe that's what makes it harder for my heart
Have you forgotten how things went South?
Between us a callous wall was built
I needed time, I needed my health
I've been drained of feeling constant guilt
You left without a word, without a proper goodbye
Promises now broken, forever didn't last long
You left wounds so deep, I wonder if they'll mend
Love now forgotten, your leaving feels so wrong
It wasn't easy to cut you off my life
But I deserved to have my life back
Now I have a family, a home, a wife
My world is finally on the right track
I hope she makes you happier, for you deserve it more
I hope her love's stronger than mine could ever be
Don't you worry dear, I did find my soulmate
I too deserved a life that made my worries flee
If this love is true, it'll make you stronger
Our so-called love made us both so weak
For the sake of my family and your partner
I suggest this is the last time we speak
I think it's time too, to say our final goodbye
I'm happy that we found love, that we at least tried
