***Cara's Point of View***

"So what exactly are you hoping to gain from dating this girl?" Jeff asked as soon as Harry left.

"Happiness," I shot back, not even trying to withhold my glare.

"Ha," he scoffed. "Still naïve, I see. You're at the peak of your career right now, Harry. You aren't playing the dating scene right. I'm sure the whole dating a fan thing will be cute for a little while. I'm sure the girls that already sell out One Direction concerts will go crazy for this piece of news, but what about after that? You're not gaining any new fans from dating her. You aren't broadening your horizons. You're taking the same players and changing the game, but that's not going to do a damn thing for your career. The press story will pass and eventually people will stop caring about the fact that you're dating an average girl. She's a nobody, and that won't get you any publicity. Celebrity relationships will."

"Well then it's a good thing I'm not trying to date a girl for publicity," I shot back.

"You're being foolish."

"You think I'm being foolish, and maybe I am but I'm not breaking up with Cara."

"And what do you think will happen when we move on with the tour? The final show is on Saturday, and then what? We're going to load up the bus and move on, and you're not going to see her for months."

The relationship was all a lie, but he still managed to piss me off.

"You know what? Fuck you," I snapped, unable to hold in the building anger any longer. After a week of his short leash and judgment, I couldn't handle Jeff anymore. It's a wonder how the other boys have delt with him for so long without losing their shit.

Even he looked surprised by my words. In fact, they all did. I'd managed to catch the attention of nearby tables as I stood from my seat.

Harry returned just as I did so, and I grabbed his arm and pulled him with me out of the restaurant.

"What the hell is happening?" he asked when we entered the elevator.

"I just told Jeff 'fuck you.' That's what."

His lips were slightly parted and his eyes were wide as he stared at me in complete disbelief.

"It's been quite the week," I muttered. The doors opened and he followed me to the room. "I just needed to get out of there."

"I hope we aren't as screwed as I think we are. Jeff's pretty powerful."

"Not as powerful as he pretends to be."

"Still. Powerful."

I sighed and laid back on the bed.

"How long are we stuck like this?" I wondered. "How much longer do I have to do this?"

"Like you have it hard," he scoffed. "I know Jeff's a pain in the ass, but I have to deal with your bitchy and reckless best friend and your mess of a mother."

"Please. I can't even leave the freaking hotel, and I have five people to pretend to know. You have it easy."

"I have marcus," he countered.

"I have papparazzi."

"Periods."

"Crowd control everywhere."

"Hair and makeup."

"Can't make my own decisions."

"What the fuck," he stopped our banter as the weather outside caught both of our attentions.

Through the big picture window we could see a dark sky, not a single star in sight. The lights of the distant skyscrapers flickered, as did the lights of our hotel room. There was no rain, but we could hear lightning and see the trees swaying from the tough winds.

"What is going on?" I asked him, only then noticing how we'd both stepped closer to one another.

"I don't know."

The flickering got worse, and I started to get scared.

"Harry, this is weird."

"You think I don't know that?! Here, get in the corner," he called.

We could hear the winds from outside, loud as ever as we hurried over to the wall furthest from the window. We sat with our backs against the drywall, huddled close together. I didn't want to see the hazardous outdoors or the horror scene currently playing out in our room, so I shut my eyes and buried my head into Harry's shoulder.

I could feel his head on top of mine, and I was sure his eyes were shut too. His arms were wrapped around me in a protective hug, and mine did the same as if we were sitting through a tornado.

Suddenly, the winds seized and we could no longer hear them. We both slowly opened our eyes and moved our heads to look around. The lights weren't flickering. The sky was full of stars, and everything appeared as it did when we walked in.

"That was so weird," I mumbled.

"Yeah," he agreed. We both then seemed to realize we were still holding each other and we awkwardly separated just as a loud knock sounded on the door.

We both jumped, still on edge from whatever just occurred.

"Who is it?" I called, standing up.

"Open the door and find out," Louis replied. I ran over and opened it to find him standing there looking a bit concerned.

"Louis," I breathed, wrapping him in a hug. "Thank God you're okay."

He hesitantly hugged me back.

"Yeah...is there a reason why I shouldn't be?"

I pulled away and looked back at Harry. He looked just as confused as I was.

"The weather...the lights. Didn't you just see all that?" I asked.

"What are you talking about? It's been beautiful all night. I was just outside checking to see if you had left or something. I didn't know where you went."

"Oh." I was totally lost now. "Weird."

"I came up here to ask if you were okay," he said, stepping further into the room.

"I'm fine now," I assured. "Thanks for checking up on me."

"You can go now," Harry intervened. "Cara and I were in the middle of something."

"I see," Louis raised his eyebrows. "Have a swell evening."

Louis left, and I rolled my eyes at Harry.

"That was rude," I told him.

"Whatever. The last thing I need is more 'Larry' bullshit happening. Anyways, can we talk about the fact that we seem to be the only ones who experienced that weird weather shit?"

"Maybe we're crazy."

"We're definitely crazy, but we're not delusional. That was real, but how did no one else feel it?"

"I don't know," I sighed. "We can try and figure it out tomorrow."

"Fine. See you then."

"Goodnight," I said as he walked out the door, shutting it behind him.

That night I fell asleep wondering what could possibly have been doing this to me and Harry.
