"Angela, are you alright? You haven't really been acting like yourself today."
I jumped at the sound of Cierra's voice, spinning around to face her.
"Jesus. You're so jumpy!" she exclaimed, placing her hand on my shoulder in a comfort way. "Is everything alright?"
"What? Yes, everything is fine. I'm alright."
Everything is definitely not alright.
She gave me a pointed look before flopping down beside me. Taking a seat on the bench outside. "No, you're not. Hey, it's me. You can talk to me."
"Look, I know that you and I have never been this close, but I want to change that. I'm still your friend and since you're my only other friend then I want us to be close. And that includes us talking whenever each of us has a problem."
"It's not that easy."
"I get it. I really do. But I want to help, I want to help you." Then she added, "Although I completely understand if you don't want to. I just want you to know that if you need someone to talk to them I'm here."
"Thanks, Cierra. And you are a great friend."
She grinned as she opened a pack of gummy bears before handing it to me. "Want some?"
Without any hesitation, I grabbed a few, throwing them in my mouth.
"So... how are things with lover boy?"
I choked on the bear that I was currently eating. "W-What? Who on earth is lover boy?"
"Nathan. Of course. So how are things going on between you two."
"He called me last night. While he was drunk. And I mean really drunk."
"Oh. Well, what happened? Did he send you a dìck pick?"
I narrowed my eyes at her, not amused. "No, he did not. Nathan isn't like that."
"It doesn't have to be Nathan, that person. It can just be him being drunk. Drunk people do stupid things. But yet, he still did something, I can tell."
"Well, he might have said some pretty inappropriate things. And I may have sent him a voice message, saying his name."
"And why did you do that?"
I swallowed hard, fiddling with my fingers. "He asked. And I was stupid, but he just wouldn't stop begging."
"Damn. He probably used that to jerk off," she said with a laugh.
I choked on air this time, embarrassment clouding over me. "Nathan isn't like that!"
"You do not know what he is like when he's turned on. He might be a completely different person during that."
"Can you please stop? You're embarrassing me."
"You? Why you? I'm just talking about Nathan, so why would that bother you?"
"Because I don't want to hear about him... doing stuff like that."
Cierra rolled her eyes. "I wonder if he is a virgin."
I coughed a little as the gummy bear got stuck in my throat. "W-What? Please tell me that you did not wonder what I think you did."
She shrugged. "What? I wonder about it. He looks like a virgin. And I heard that he has never had a girlfriend before."
