Chapter 22.1 (Part 1)

Recap:I arrived at Ash's house and walked in to his house.

I called out his name but I got.. no answer.

Hmm..that's strange.

I walked upstairs and into his room.

No one again.

Then I heard sobbing coming from the bathroom.

Oh no.

I ran to the door and opened it to reveal..

Maddie's POV

No.

When I opened the door it revealed by best friend..surrounded by blood.

He dropped the metal blade and looked up at me.

"M-Maddie I-I can e-e-explain!" he sobbed

I walked towards him and helped him up.

I sat him on the toilet and grabbed some gauze and tape from his cabinet.

I started wrapping them and all that could be heard was Ashton's silent sobbing and me wrapping his arms.

After I finished wrapping his arms I grabbed his hand and walked to his bedroom.

I laid him down on the bed and pulled his blanket over top of him.

"I-I'm s-so s-sorry M-mads. It's a-all m-my f-fault. I-I'm s-so stu-stupid and

I-I'm s-sorry" he cried out

"No Ash..it's not your fault at all.

Just get some sleep and I'll be here in the morning ok?" I said while wiping his tears away and brushing his curls out of his face.

"O-ok Mads. I love you." he said back

"I love you to" I responded

I waited another 10 minutes before leaving just to make sure he was actually sleeping before I walked into his bathroom and grabbed all his blades and walking out.

I left a tiny one just so he can shave.

I walked out of his and back to my house.

I mean Luke's..but whatever.

I took my time so it took about 15 minutes but it gave me time to just..think.

"How long has he been doing this?"
